Yes I was thinking the same thing. She’s a volume shooter but she’s certainly not a volume maker. She’s shooting a blistering 19% from 3 on the season. On the other hand, she was really the only one who came to play yesterday against O State. The rest of the team looked pretty lackluster for 3.5 quarters. She was shooting a decent percentage until the last 4 or 5 minutes when she started playing hero ball.

Georgia looks to be a mystery every game this year, hard to tell which team will show up. I think they will improve greatly as the season goes, still trying to work the kinks out from losing Morrison. Caliya Robinson needs to step up a little, she’s a senior now can’t be sitting herself on the bench with cheap fouls all year like she has in the past.

If anyone is interested there is a live feed for the Oregon game. Just got to their schedule and click the watch link. They’ve been the most impressive team I’ve watched this year so far. Stanford has looked very good as well, some solid basketball being played in the PAC-12 again this season.

UK 85 beat UNC 75.

Murray, Morris, Howard combined = 66 points.

She is def looking like the forerunner for FOY. However our collective group may provide a bang before it’s all said and done. This group is competitive!

From what i have seen so far from the two teams so the UK is better then we are right now. Murray, Morris, Howard can make plays when needed.

Maybe so ... I’ll be interested to see come SEC time. Some nice wins for UK no doubt but their depth/post play is more of an issue than ours.

I’m still taking the LV in that match up. Not because imma CHW lover but this group is competitive. Now I could be wrong and we lose but I also hope playing them at home helps... I am sure Howard will be raring to go in her home state but I think LVs got it though 😎

Drake is the #1 ranked team in ESPNs MidMajor poll.

I am not saying too much because we were a couple of missed free throws and a turnover from losing to a midmajor ourselves.

We play another ESPN midmajor ranked team in Belmont later this year. UConn only beat St.Johns by 10 the other day. These midmajors are closing the gap on the power five schools in the its not quite like the men’s side yet but the gap is narrowing ever so slightly. Look at MTSU they got a McDonalds all American and may get another with Rellah Boothe (who is out with a knee injury but can still help a team).

I think that’s the problem though. She intends to be the star at the expense of everyone else. She may have had 31 but it was an L because she’s not playing team basketball. She’s getting her shots and to be damned with everyone else. Reminds me of our team a few years ago with a certain someone she was pretty close with.

This isn’t high school ball anymore, one player isn’t going to win games for you at the collegiate level. You play team basketball or you lose.

SC 3 and 3 gonna take their lumps this season. I think over 10 losses is a given will have to improve dramatically to make the NCAA tourney. I wouldn't want to be in position to put all my eggs in the cooper basket she may have some big games but when she has bad games and takes over 20 shots that is going to be a loss.

Mid Majors are becoming the same in women's basketball that they are in the men's game. If you don't come to play 40 minutes with intensity your going to lose a lot of the time.

Three games on today featuring SEC teams on ESPN3 online. Auburn, LSU, and Vandy are playing vs. Little Rock, Louisiana, and Presbyterian. All games start at 2 pm

And it was basically Cooper and Harris who carried the team. Everyone else seemed to be non existent. So much disdain for Cooper on here lol. I still rock with homegirl!

Te'a is definitely playing within the team. Unfortunately she's the only one who has rather consistently shown up for SC. Many teammates who were expected to be major contributors have yet to do so.

It’s still early give them time. Lots of new roles just like on the LV. Plus Cuevas just started playing again ... she is like a little gnat with a nasty cross over 🙄
