Non-Lady Vol news 2018-19

Geno may try to go the Grad Transfer route or Juco you really don't want to enter a season with just 8 even 9 players.
The transfer market during the summer will be good as it has been the last 4 or 5 years. With these big classes usually one or two leave. I haven't seen a class of 4 or more stay together for 4 years in forever. May pick someone up there too. Only 5 can play at once right? You'd like 11 or so but you take what you can get.

How is UConn land dealing with missing on their last 3 targets?

0-6, 0-2 from three, 0 assists and a turnover. Rough night for Cooper so far.

And that's how she finished after playing 14 minutes. I'm not missing that kind of performance at all.

I was looking at their roster too, they will have only 8, maybe 9 returning if Camara comes back for her final year of eligibility. Only 3 of those returning are playing significant minutes. I feel Camara will go play as a grad transfer somewhere else or just forgo her final year if she's already graduated, she has barely played since she transferred. If she does not return they will have only one true inside player unless they pick up a grad transfer from somewhere. Geno is a legendary coach, but next year could be rough for them.

I suspect some of UConn's recruiting misses this year may be due to Moseley leaving for BU in the spring, and Shea Ralph taking some time off in the summer to have a baby. It's hard to lose 2 super-recruiters like that, even temporarily, and not miss a step.

She got benched the second half. Never took her warmup off.

Edit: Another thing I noticed: a couple of other players hit some big shots down the stretch, they panned the camera to the bench, the whole team was cheering....except for Te'a, sitting there looking like her dog just died. Not trying to be a hater, but her attitude sucks and you can see it from a mile away. People on CockyTalk were saying she looked under the weather, but I don't believe that, the commentators or coaches almost always make a comment about a player not feeling well if that is the case.

Watching Texas A&m vs. Lamar Lamar winning 48 to 41 in third quarter. Miss. St beat Lamar 104 to 53 earlier in the season. For some reason unknown Chennedy Carter not playing.

Coach Blair sending a message I'm guessing, I've seen him do that over the years. If someone is getting too big for their britches he'll just flat sit them. Doesn't care if it costs them a game, you're going to play in his system and listen or you aren't going to play. Purely speculation, but that is my bet, no secret the two of them have butted heads off and on. He likes to call every play and sometimes Chennedy just does her own thing lol.

It's about how it would be over here had the same thing happened. You have the ones who think it's the end of the world. The ones who aren't concerned at all. Then there are those in the middle who look at the whole picture and give valuable feedback. As you know any fan forum is generally filled with those far to either side making the vast majority of the posts and then the ones in the middle end up being the bad guys. It is what it is. I don't worry or think much about recruiting personally. I know there are some fans of the sport who love that stuff though.

Barring major injuries Geno and Uconn will always be in the hunt for the national championship. Sure, having great players matter, but so does great coaching.

LSU for the season is 25% for threes and 56% free throws. yes they lack shooters and their offense was dribble-drive and athletic moves. Two 6-5 players but without an outside offense the defense will be 5 in the paint.
