FSU just got a verbal from #12 2019 Sammie Puisis 6'2" Wing. To go along with River Baldwin 6'5" post... Starting to add some height to go with their four guards for 2018!!!

Hottest school in the country right now. And Puisis is a VERY good guard and will bring nice size to that backcourt.

I need to know what Semrau is saying to these recruits. Her 2018 class will likely be #1.. top 3 for sure. Her 2019 class is well on it's ways to a top 10 ranking as well. That's great recruiting right there... preparing for the post-Shakayla Thomas years.

If they land Queen Egbo it's a wrap. They'll get to the Final Four sooner rather than later.

Puisis has a brother and sister both on athletic scholarship in the state of Florida. But they are at different schools and different sports! But I am sure that was a factor in her decision?

That's a good point. I'm sure that was definitely a contributing factor.

Not a recruiting information but does deal with an upcoming Lady Vol opponent. Brianna Turner has elected to sit out the 2017-18 season. She and Jessica Sheppard will be eligible next year. That will be a pretty powerful front court duo to sea with. This year however it makes ND a guard oriented team (more so) especially with Boley transfer. Danielle Patterson and Makayla Vaughn will need to step up quickly as freshman as Westbeld is the only post with significant experience and is a senior but had surgery last year and was limited summer and most likely preseason.

I don't think the Virginia football coach makes much more than 1.15 million don't think she will be going there. I doubt there is another school ready to dish out more than SC will so I believe as long as she wins like now she will end her career there.

Notre Dame has submitted paperwork for a hardship waiver for Jessica Shepard to the NCAA. If approved, she would be immediately eligible.

Even if she never won another championship again but kept them as a top 25 team they will still keep paying her well because they can afford it and she wouldn't have a reason to leave. Just a single Natty in this sport goes a loooooong way. Which makes sense considering most of the coaches who have one in WCBB only have just the 1.

I would love to see Muffet get a second, I think she is due as well as Tara is due for a 3rd, and a few others should probably get their first in coming years. Dawn isn't going anywhere she built something in South Carolina, no reason to leave now.

The longer SCar stays relevant the better their recruiting will get.

Coach McGraw said they did that just because they would take a shot at it however, she thought Jessica would have to wait til the 2018-2019 season to play. Not that the NCAA makes much sense in the majority of their decisions but this would be totally off as she didn't move closer to home and nothing seemingly went on but a change in coaching and I think she played under the new coach for a year.

Muffett has appealed Jessica's mandatory sit out this year. Muffett stated they will have an answer from the NCAA in two weeks if Jessica can play this year. If granted, Jessica will be a Junior this year, and Bri and her would play their final year of collegiate ball together next year. ND wants/needs Jessica to play if they want to at least make it to final 4. Regardless, in 2 years, their front court will be very exciting to see.

SC summer has passed. Don't expect much. Your team lucked into the championship this year. No repeat. And uconn is not about to take this year for granted. Sorry to say, but I never believed SC would have beaten uconn.
Send ten thousand roses to Miss St, they did you a favor and twenty thousand to their point guard who got a last minute beater.
SC are chicken McNuggets this year. Too much player power gone.
Your post will feel the stingy post defenses of every SEC coach this season. You're the target. Lot of luck.
thats what happens n ie what makes the bcaa tournament.sometimes the best teams get upset

Kaitlin Bickle 6'1" wing from Az. Committed to Baylor and joining Nalyssia Smith for 2018! That's two in the top 20 or 30 depending on your source...

Will that affect DeCosta????? Another Wing!!

It potentially could but I never saw her going to Baylor imo.

I think with her it will be between us (She wants to play with Westbrook and Hayes and Massengil), South Carolina (now that they have had an in house visit with Chrystian Williams who she really wants to play with as well) and Louisville (her best friend plays there).

I think it will all come to who commits first will determine who we land in a sense.

I agree. At this moment I say its a toss up between Louisville, SC, and Tenn. She's very high on all schools and each school has a different connection with DeCosta.

Tenn has Westbrook, Hayes, and Massengill recruiting her hard. Also she could start as a freshman from day #1.

Louisville has the Kakala kid in her ear as well as a starting position at the 4 up for grabs.

SC has Destanni Henderson in her ear as well. She has been communicating with ONO, Cwill and DeCosta trying to get them all to team up again (they played together in the 2016 U17 world Championship squad). DeCosta's father has been on record saying that he would love his daughter to play for her home state being she has a lot of family in SC.

whoever lands her is getting a major IMPACT player from day 1. She sure is going to have some busy weeks coming up. I hope dawn can land her!

MAJOR 2018 de-commit coming out of Texas!

Only three I would think as being "MAJOR" would be Collier, Prince, or Smith.....I'm hoping its Collier! 😂😂😂

Seconding fingers crossing for Collier. They have to hit a wall with recruiting at some point. The rich has been getting too rich as of late.

But my hunch is that it will be Smith...

Not me ! 😂😂😂 I respect Dawn Staley greatly but I want DeCosta but I agree this could go anyway! What would suck is if she ended up at Louisville or even worse baylor 😳

Texas and UConn boards are saying it's Collier.

She doesn’t have UCONN commit/class on her Twitter... which I thought she had previously. I could be mistaken! We have often seen Texas girls who were supposedly committed out of state stay Decommit and stay home. Alexis Morris was committed to UCLA but then switched to Baylor. Prince would essentially have one year to play behind a lot of Texas’ post and then step in as the twins and White would be gone her sophomore year. Then we’ve also seen TX girls commit and go somewhere then transfer back to Texas schools ... R. Caldwell, C. Jonshnson, N. Mulkey, etc. The only perplexing thing is if it’s Collier 1. Does she leave Texas 2. Why is she decommitting? She would have had a year behind Stevens and Camaoura ( if Stevens didn’t declare early). At UT we would have KK, Green, and Collins ( who I admit is more of a 4 but Collier can play in the high post as well). If she decommits does that sway ONO that way and maybe Collier to SC? This should be interesting! If it’s Smith and she changed to SC how does that affect the landscape?

I have the same questions as you and I wonder how soon the announcement will be and how soon will the person commit.

I wonder if there would also be a red flag in a sense for Collier (if it is her) since she originally committed (verbally) to Texas then she decommitted from there and gave a verbal to UConn only to decommit there and if her goal is to play why chose Texas (which many think she is going to return to) when they have Prince committed in the same class along with Holmes and Rellah Boothe already at the 4 spots. She could've possibly played right away as Stevens will probably leave after this season should UConn win a title.

Agreed that the Texas roster is going to be so, so crowded. I find it hard to believe there won't be some transfers in the next year or two.

However, the buzz I've read is that with all of her family in Texas, her dad passing away last year, and now Hurricane Harvey, she naturally wants to stay closer to home, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if she does end up at Texas.
