Non-LadyVol Recruiting information

They should certainly make the dance next season when Mulkey is eligible to play, she played with both girls (in high school/travel ball) and they all know one another’s game very well!

I always thought a smaller Texas school would’ve been better for her than a bigger program like Oklahoma

She may be the tallest woman I have ever seen... I’m so jealous! Is she taller than Griner?

Yes she’s listed at 6’9” & Griner is listed at 6’8”

I believe both are listed an inch shorter than their actual height!

Mulkey is every bit of 6’10”/6’11” (based on photos of her and her 7 foot Brother)

Goodness gracious! Let me ask a dumb question: Why do they list them shorter than they actually are? I thought it was always the opposite.

It comes down to position and the person really.

Most women who play the game (much like their age) they don't want the actual height revealed (don't understand the reasoning)

Where as for guys they prefer to be listed as tall as they can except when it comes to positioning

For example Kevin Garnet didn't want to be labeled as just a post player so instead of being listed at 7', he wanted to be listed at 6'11"

Kevin Durant who's like 6'11" with guard skills doesn't want to be viewed as a post player either so instead of being listed at 6'11" his desire is to be listed at 6'9"

In the Mens game (at least in the past) if you were 6'10" or taller coaches immediately placed you in the Center position

Gotcha. Now it makes sense...thanks for the explanation!

Thought Williams would pick her final 2 by now. Expect her to pick Texas and UCONN with a final of UCONN on november 10th.

So the 2018 recruiting season is done for the LV’s or do they realistically have a change to snag at least one of the remaining 4 unsigned top 50 players? I still think we have a very good team, however, losing Nard and Russell will be tough to replace. I would have loved to see us get at least one big. We have lost our place as “the program” in the SEC, sure wish we could return to that position.

Green is ranked #13 by ESPN and #24 by prospect nation while Burrell is steadily climbing the ranking thanks to her coming on late last year as a junior and her AAU season so yes we have a legit shot... doesn’t mean it will happen but it is a shot !

I guess KK will be our center next season and Green will be back to play inside. We may try to add a big Juco if any available that could contribute inside. If we get Green and Burrell were probably set we have a lot of tweeners that can play the three and four. We will see Davis step into the Nared role as a sophomore Russell is harder to replace but KK can definitely get better playing this season and getting accustomed to WCCB.

My gut instinct says that the LVs have a realistic shot at landing Green.
