North Iowa Tea Party billboard

Bingo.

Not that the folks who would bite on this billboard's message would understand that's what's happening, or anything.

To be honest, at this point I welcome things like this. I think it starkly demonstrates where the tea party is really coming from, the shallowness of their thinking, the base nature of their philosophy.

If the American people end up going for this kind of message, then we deserve what we get.

But is there any difference in this and when an elected Democrat official gets up and states the GOP is like the Nazis?

Don't say it's just one-sided.

so if a few idiots had put up a Kiffin billboard in LA it would have represented the entire fanbase? It's a stupid idea thought up by a few people who are idiots. To make it more than that is really reaching

We (as a country) bought the blanket "Hope and Change" mantra without ever really questioning what that meant.

Only a very small segment of the tea party and those who identify with them on some level buy into stuff like this. The core message (of the tea party) is still valid and very much needed right now.

When there is a terrorist action by Al-Qaeda or Taliban, there is always a thread on here about how the rest of the Muslim world is not condemning it, and so therefore the entire Islamic faith are terrorists or terrorist-sympathizers.

I await the announcement from the RNC, a Fox commentator, or any elected member of the GOP, criticizing this billboard.

Waiting .....

Still waiting ....

You should keep waiting, I would be very disappointed if someone criticized this billboard.

Why would/should they apoligize for something they are not responsible for or associated with?

Does the democratic party or MSNBC apologize for every group that may do something they believe crosses a line, especially in a regional political setting?

and how often is it 1 or 2 posters agreeing and the rest saying they are wrong?

The groups you mention had nothing to do with the billboard so why do they need to condemn it to appease you? I'm still waiting on Dodd and Frank to apologize to the American people but I don't see that coming soon

lets compare the 3. they all are/were for 'social justice'-taking from wealthy to give to the poor. all 3 believes the government should rule its people and not govern. all 3 believe that capitalism is bad and that government should control everything. the only difference between the 3 is the tactics they use.

i see so you equate a terrorist attack to a billboard. why would they comment on something so insignificant?

It's not their problem if some are too dumb to understand the message.

Exactly, the only way for this billboard to be effective is for people to equate the Holocaust with Obama. Otherwise people look at the billboard and say, "This is one of the dumbest billboards ever."

Attack Obama for his policies, don't use the fear tactics both parties love so well to exploit.

I completely grasp the difference, you're to ignorant to see they're the same.

if you can grasp the difference then you admit the billboard is stupid right? Otherwise your ignorant label really doesn't apply

socialized medicine != holocaust

It is not the platform nor base nature of their philosophy.

MASON CITY, Iowa - An Iowa billboard is creating huge amounts of controversy, drawing criticism even from the group that put it up in the first place.

The North Iowa Tea Party paid for the sign, which it claims is not disrespectful. Other Iowa tea party members disagree.

“I think it really does an injustice to the people who suffered and died under Stalin and Adolf Hitler,” said Ryan Rhodes, an Iowa Tea Partier, “and making that comparison's not really fair.”

For the record, the billboard is dumb. Comparing any of our politicians to Hitler is stupid and insulting.

stalin actually would be a better comparison, but it doesn't help your argument to compare obama to a guy who ordered the extinction of a couple of mil.
