Take a look at some of the posts in this forum on sat and sun after a game for evidence.

Also, one can go to a game and/or donate yet still be miserable. In fairness, this attitude is more prevalent on vn than those I see at the games.

Yeah, because it's really rare and unexpected to see complaints on the messageboards of major college football programs coming off 3 straight losing seasons.

I've been critical at some things this staff has done the last few weeks but I can't fault them for anything in last nights game. Great job by the players and the staff.

Dude just stop. Take what you have coming to you. You came on here spewing garbage, thinking you would be one of the first to start a thread this week giving your opinion on how crappy you think this coaching staff is. Your little half azzed statement about half time adjustments was nothing more than your way of setting things up to continue your rant in the second half.

What I took from this thread is that the "Legion of the Miserable" got really quiet in here in the second half. With nothing to Bi**h about, you had nothing to say. Do yourself a big favor.......stop posting. At minimum, don't start any more threads. You and the rest of the LOTM got Butch slapped yesterday. :the_finger:

This all day, op is multiple shades of broken. That game was awesome. Don't like the result. But love everything about how our players fought, and coaches conducted buisiness. This game I think will be seen as a turning point.

Team and coaches gave their all yesterday. Either support your team or stay the heck off here... do not want to hear it.. in college football there are great ones like manning .. Reggie white.. etc.. Murray is in that class he won that game for GA. . Without him today we kick their arse.. these coaches and team are doing the best they can with what these prior coaching staffs left. So support our team..

I made a post in this thread criticizing the mods of VN for not merging this in gamed thread (in addition to one still listed), and it was deleted. You can criticize the coach here, but not VN mods...a little touchy...almost as touchy as the refs were last night when Butch hurt their feelings.

It's in the posted rules, as it has been forever. If you have an issue with the moderating, you are always free to email me.

Obviously our guidelines aren't for everyone. If publicly criticizing the mods, who volunteer their time to deal with the masses after a game and make this site possible, is important to you, then you should probably find another board on which to post.

it is quite apparent that you have no football experience at all outside of espn or xbox. As for the play call in the first drive, the coaches will not call a play if they do not have confidence that the team and qb can execute the play. Bad execution usually means mistake which is often a turnover. As for the slant pass, have you ever tried to cover a quick slant? It is one of the most difficult pass routes to cover and with Murray being such a slouch QB.... give me a break as you would not know what to call anyway....as for the not calling a time out, Worley has not shown the confidence to throw downfield. Not calling a time out is a lot better than a pick 6. Maybe he should have but he did not. The non timeout was not a game losing factor.

Being a negative nancy is easy. Try leaning about the game before you start whining next time.

One game certainly doesn't constitute a trend. I am one of the most negative vol fans you will find but I saw a team yesterday that was on point. They had a gameplan. They were ready and motivated. They kept it together even when down by 2 td's. Butch opened the run play calling way up and it was encouraging to watch. Other than the bombs from Worley that were way off target, it looked like they got him into some easy pass situations, which looks good from the coaching standpoint. We are fielding a team which is vastly undermanned and low on talent. If we play like that week in and week out and get the consistency that jones talks about, then we will be just fine. Plus he can recruit. Absolutely no reason to complain after yesterday. If we play like we did yesterday against the rest of the schedule, we could have a solid season.
P.S. It's amazing how much closer games can be without 6 interceptions per game. Lol

Seriously, if you have an issue email me. I'm not gonna pretend like we don't miss stuff and make stupid decisions sometimes.

I guarantee you can easily pick out several valid posts/threads every weekend during and after games that should probably be dealt with. It's a zoo and if you think it's hard to read sometimes, you should try moderating.

I'll be honest, sometimes we just throw our hands up and wait for things to settle down. :)
