So when Kellie was hired how many coaches who had won a Nattie were available to hire? Realistically none. Subsequent to Kellie’s hiring, how many coaches who were available at the time Kellie was hired have won a Nattie (2020 and2021). Again none. So if the only measurement of success is a Nattie, who based on that standard would have been a better hire than Kellie? Exactly none.

For the folks who apparently judge KJH only on the basis of "no championships" yet, they seem oblivious of the context of the atmosphere of the LV program when KJH arrive. There were high school All Americans fleeing the program every year, sometimes with negative publicity such as the case with Evina. The spirit of the LV program was barely alive with all the toxicity and several years of choking in big games with increasing frequency. The best recruits for the next recruiting cycle were nearly all verbally committed, and none of the potential recruits were old enough to ever see the LVs in a Final 4 game. A sinking ship takes a lot of time to turnaround. This has started to happen, though time will tell if she is fully able to do it. The biggest issue is recruiting, so as many posters have said there needs to be several big time prospects the the LV get the next couple of years for us to take the next step. The jury is out of this, but I am pleased so far with KJH's ability to coach up players, build a great team first atmosphere, and that each year there has been an improvement over the prior year. To say "where are the championships?"when she is just in the 3rd year and the team has already risen to 2nd place in the SEC behind the best team in basketball is shear ignorance. You are absolutely correct! She owes us three championships already!
If true, sounds more like a Jeff Walz “give me a raise” move. Think KM is now at the only place she would have left Baylor for but interested to see the reporting on that. Where did you hear that? No. Kim Mulkey's agent reached out to TN. After Barnes was offered by UCLA, much of the money, approximately 2 mil, that Fulmer had to hire a women's basketball coach went to Barnes. Since the money was no longer there, and Fulmer's advisors were pushing for a TN legacy, Kim Mulkey didn't get hired.

So why exactly did Mulkey leave Baylor for LSU. She detailed her decision with Sports Illustrated's Ross Dellenger on Wednesday.
"Mulkey points to various reasons for her unprecedented decision," Dellenger wrote Wednesday. "She chalks it up mainly to a desire to 'go home' and end her career in a state where it began, where her two children were born and where she claimed six championships, four in high school and three at Louisiana Tech, as a player and an assistant coach."

Progress/Crossroads believe is getting to the same result. Progress has to be winning the recruiting battles we are losing now, winning the “bigger” games and making the climb and staying inside the Top 10. In year 4 if we are still saying the same thing then we are at a crossroads on the expectations of the team moving forward. Not sure a “crossroads” year evaluation is fair. Progress, though is required, whether by HS recruits or transfers.
