The leftist filth have no new ideas. They simply take the old ones and set about to bastardize them.
That's obviously true. All you have to do is look at Hollyweird to prove that hypothesis. However, simple money and fame grabs are routinely launched by both liberals and conservatives alike.

Hollywood is a perfect example of this. Every movie and TV show these days is a rehash of one that was done 50-60 years ago. These people have zero imagination. They take a popular movie or TV show and add a "non-binary" or "Person of Color" and voilà, they think they are geniuses.

What, you didn't like the Sanford & Son remake with Danny DeVito as Fred, RuPaul as Lamont, and Awkwafina as Aunt Esther?

One of the things that makes great art “great” is its ability to speak to all times and all ages. It’s universal nature. As such, it needs no “updating”. The hubris and arrogance needed to take upon oneself a self perceived call to do so is monumental beyond imagination

Just read the article. It’s a cavalcade of woke nonsense.

Maestra
Zulu & Maori text
Tracy K Smith & Wordsmith
African drumming
Jazz ensembles
Reena Esmail

Why is African Drumming culturally relevant to Baltimore? Because there’s a lot of black folks there?

Yeah, that Jimi Hendrix cover of "All Along the Watchtower" should never have happened. F'in woke punks and their electric guitars.

Edit: for that matter, so much hubris in Stevie Ray Vaughan deciding to do a new version of "Little Wing."

What next, darken the skin tone of the Mona Lisa to make it more “relevant”? When does the madness end?

Ohhhhh, now I see your outrage.

They're using afro-beat inspired jazz percussions, so therefore it is woke in your woefully white eyes.

Jesus Christ... I can't imagine living in such a state of fragility and paranoia.

I'm going to keep adding to the list of these arrogant attempts at wokism as I think of them.

Damn that Eric Clapton and his need to cover "Crossroads" or "Cocaine."

Got it, so covers, tributes, and reprisals aren't artistic. Heard. Makes tons of sense.
