Nunes softens verbal

Adios Nunes, take your cry baby arse somewhere else. He didn't like boos. if he can't handle it then good ridance

It wasn't the boos...it was that sorry excuse of an offense we put on the field every week! Why the hell would a quarterback come here when they see a guy out there(JC)who has been on campus 4 years and doesn't have the most simple quarterback fundamentals?? I would run like hell also!

He handled the situation with class. Show him some in return. In his situation some kids probably would have said something to the effect of, "Ya'll are losers. I am a winner. Have fun losing without me."

Agree totally, it sucks for us, but good luck to Josh out in Cali

he was 100%...until he saw our offense and our qback muck up the place! He is trying to be polite by saying it is a distance issue...he knew where he lived when he committed.

Do the reading between the lines man. Surely I don't have to explain that a plane ticket from Cali to Knoxville, Tuscaloosa, Gainesville, Baton Rouge, Starkville every week is alot more expensive than toPalo Alto, Berkley, LA, Oregon, Washington etc.

we lost an extremely smart recruit from Cali to a great Cali school. Really that hard to believe?

Hell no it is not hard to believe. Especially considering the garbage that UT is fielding at the HC position. He is a smart kid to turn away from this catastrophe.

The way this season is going i would believe anything. And its not that Stanford isnt a good place to play and a great learning institution its just depressing to loose football recruits to a bottom dwelling Pac-10 cup cake.

Hello All! I'm a long-time listener, first-time caller so to speak! But I got a piece of news for yall...

I ran into Father Ryan OG Sean Conway's mother at Chili's this past weekend and she told me that he recently received an offer from Notre Dame. She went on to say that Tennessee is still his first choice, followed by LSU, and then Notre Dame.

He is a 2-star OG... #76 in his position ranking... 2009 class... She said if Tennessee offers, he'll choose them in a heartbeat!

And if he would have said that my reply would have been,"You're a honest person"!:cray:

Yeah man,I just read between the lines man.

I can assure you the economy is not what changed his mind..... though you might fall for that,MAN.

I have to say that I think Nunes made the right decision, for his family and for his future. I also think he was about as diplomatic as he possibly could be given the situation. I wish him well.

Sorry if this has been reported but I was on my way to work this foggy East Tennessee morning and was listening to the Sports Monster and they advised that Nunes has announced that he has fully decommited and told the reporters he will be attending Stanford...Wow...I knew he took it to a soft verbal but it is real now and i am afraid there will be a lot more do the same in the coming weeks...It is a sad state of the program when we lose recruits to Stanford...Thanks Phil and Hamilton.

Chris Simms.....Chris Leak.....Cadillac Williams.....It happens all the time and won't be the last time no matter who the HC is. Just like selling crack...you are gonna get ripped off and you are gonna get busted...just the nature of the business!

Best decision kid could have made for himself. IMO. I would have loved to have had him in orange but oh wellll...........
