Sadly, no one can get their a$$ whipped without becoming "tough" and pulling a gun. I'm not against guns, I'm against these punk thugs who think they're men because they have a gun. If someone broke into your house and threatened you or your family and you shoot them, fine by me. If they approach you in public to argue about a girl and you punch them and have them to respond by shooting you and INNOCENT bystandards, they are cowards.
Working at a college and seeing these kids thought process nowadays, I really fear for their future and ours.
My thoughts are with the families of the victims.
Ive had 15 foster kids. all female, no pics. One thing that they all have in common is "the only way to solve a problem is to kick somebody's ass" That is a direct quote.
We have found a way to get most of them to back off from that train of thought, but not all of the. All of our fosters have been teenage girls. Most of them have been in trouble with the law and that is how they end up at our house.
I can tell you this, race makes no difference with these kids. Thugs is as thug does, and the color of the skin does not matter. HOWEVER, I can tell you that none of these kids listened to Martina McBride, or Carrie Underwood, or Christina Agulera (sp?) The most violent, and "lost" of the bunch listened to Eminem, and the punk ass thug bullcrap music that goes with them.
(disclaimer: there are some good messages in that style of music, but there are some horrible messages as well)
Anyways, these kids are not all bad kids. They had problems staying out of trouble, but 99% of that can be traced to parenting issues. (ahhh..letting an 8 y.o. listen to Eminem is a parenting issue...FWIW)
This is a sad story, and any way you look at it, it sucks.
prayers. thoughts. all of that. Just plain sad.
