So OE whats your beef with the CC? You say its Legalism, but its not the day to day rules that bother you. So which is it? A) your grandma from Sicily was excommunicated? B)You dont like the bureaucracy (Pope, cardinals, bishops, priests, deacons, nuns) C) the extravagance/pomp of the vatican D) the way donations are handled? E) Science and the church? F) who mass is structured (which was designed off how the last supper would have been like, intro, song, OT reading, song, NT story, homily, song, breaking of bread) G) All of the above (minus A)
Mods here on VN say attack the post, not the poster, but in this thread, you have insulted my intelligence, called me a clown, and arrogant (which you mistook for confidence) All very christian like.
So what things do you disagree with so much? Is it...
1) Nicene/Apostles Creed
2)Baptism
3)Holy Communion (Baptist love bible verses, but never mention one of the most important issues in the NT, the Last Supper where Jesus said THIS is my Body, THIS is my Blood, do THIS in memory of me. Not this is like my body and do this when its Christmas time
4)Confession (Baptist love there 700 Club, AM preachers, and eat up quotes from Tebow like breakfast, but you cant have a serious private conversation with another christian about your own sins. You seriously believe nothing would be gained from that?)
5)Eventual Assumption of both body and soul
6)Days of Obligation, Mortal vs Venial Sins, Virtues
I respect your whole view of Freedoms and I agree the cc could work on that, but I also view that communities are just as important
