Obama/McCain and Russia/Georgia

What do you expect? If it's not a glowing endorsement of Republican party propaganda it's a critism magnet. Most of the threads in politics are just shamless propaganda scripts, kinda like a Mark Levine show.

So you are admitting there is propaganda flying from both directions? If so I will agree with that. Welcome to US politics. What would be really refreshing is a viable candidate who was conservative fiscally, while a little more liberal on social issues. Hell if they promised to shrink government by 15% I'd be happy.

The first step after talking tough is economic sanctions. The oldest policy in the book.

The problem with McCains approach, or some here might say isn't a problem, is that he won't find many friends outside of the US to stand with him if he talks beyond his abilities. The US will need many others to make the sanctions work.

No but you imply it. I guess I am more direct, thanks to BPV.

There was no implication of you being stupid there. There was a bit of sarcasm offered up after you first made a more specific implication of me being that. However, since you failed to see that, it may be appropriate for you to wear the hat which you have offered to place on yourself.

I'd be happy if just one of them came up with a viable energy independence goal.

One thing I will admit too, you are funny.

I think Politics is just insane. Both parties are guilty of it, they solve nothing just argue, and spend money. That's why I say these are a less of 2 evils race, I think we lose in different ways after november with either.

I agree. My main problem with Obama is not entirely his fault. Here we go. When Pelosi came into power she made a big spectacle about using her role to get away from partisan politics, but here we are waiting for them to address energy and she shut it down and refused to let the vote happen. Very partisan move on her behalf, especially when she knows many in her party would sign on for responsible drilling.

Now as I said that is not Obama's problem but couple her with Obama and I'm afraid we could be raked over the coals.

Haven't seen much written about the views of the candidates on this situation but thought this was interesting. Especially since it came out of a Chicago paper...this guy better watch his back.

Source please? You say its from a Chicago paper, but was it a columnist or an editorial or what? Given your prior penchant for quoting people who re-cast what Obama says in order to attack that made-up version, I would like to know who wrote this.

And what do you mean "this guy better watch his bacl"?

1) Source McCain, not Obama, was right about Georgia :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Steve Huntley Steve Huntley, a columnist for the Chicago Sun Times.
2) I have no idea what "penchant" you speak of. Perhaps you care to supply some sources yourself?
3) He is from Chicago, this attacking Obama may require him to "watch his bacl" or as I prefer to call it "his back".

No, no, no...I wrote it that way to play on that idea...but the guy who made the attack did not catch it. So aha!, It was en embedded trap!

No, I just got caught up here at work taking the "how dumb are you IQ test" and forgot about it.
