what does he think company CEOs do when their stock is dropping every day? go out and hire new people? NO. They go into foxhole mode. They hoard cash, don't spend money on anything they don't have to. what does the average person do when their retirement savings decreases every day? same thing. obama's "i don't follow the stock market" attitude is going to directly worsen this recession. this is scary scary stuff that our president is this out of touch with the realities of the american economy. i've never had so little faith in the direction of this country.

I thought the guy was supposed to be so savvy and intelligent. I have yet to be impressed by anything other than his oratory skills.

I am glad I didn't vote for him. I'd feel betrayed.

amazing. he sees the market crashing and decides this is the right time to announce tax increases on the investor class and to implement socialized healthcare. you can't wait 6 months for christ sake?

Exactly, IMO one of his biggest blunders so far. Get the stimulis passed and the next day he is talking about raising taxes. Its like cant we celebrate a little.

I guess this is what happens when we elect a lawyer

I don't know about you, but I wasn't celebrating the passing of the Pork Bill.

Well if he passed the stimulis and then raises taxes, does that not mean the cycle of money directly leads back to the government?

he is proving my comment that he is well on his way to being one of the worst pres. if not the worst the united states has ever had.

true... but its a lot of money being thrown around and it will help. Its not perfect, but it wil do something

I have no faith that it will have a positive net result when you factor in the eventual inflation and increase in debt. You can't produce wealth out of thin air with the stroke of a pen.

He's definitely setting himself up to be the biggest unmitigated disaster to ever occupy the Oval Office.

I've never understood this mentality. It's like the people that wanted the Vols to lose while CPF was still here.

This is a serious question. If the president has so much control over the market, why didn't Bush do anything about it before he left office?

no, its not that i want him to fail, bc if he fails we fail. The fact is the guy doesn't have the experience to be pres. of the united states.

Honestly, I want to see Obama's quasi-socialist policies fail miserably.
