Blaming Obama isn't going to keep GM from filing banruptcy or Citi from losing money. I don't see there being a lot he do except try to restore confidence to some degree, but it's the bad economic data that is driving the market down, not really Obama.

The market is forward looking, thats why it rallied in December, because it had "Hope". Now that the the truth is out, the market has no confidence in Obama and no confidence = sell

exactly what did it get you? A post 9-11 period of prosperity followed by a structural problem driven housing market correction. You ended up with money spent in Iraq and Afghanistan and a disastrous prescription drug program for seniors.

Obama has eclipsed all of that in a month.

Was post 9-11 a period of real prosperity? It seems to me real prosperity would have lasted lasted, and not been the product of ridiculously overpriced assets to begin with.

Obama has eclipsed all of that in a month? Are you including in the cost of both wars, TARP, and the prescription drug program?

he's raising the tax JUST for the sake of "taxing the rich" f-ckers even though a) it will likely not produce much in tax revenue and b) the market is tanking.

Talk about same old song and dance. I have no doubt that tax breaks spur economic growth, but show me one single historical piece of evidence that shows tax breaks are fiscally responsible in the least.

Given that we have reached this point in the discussion, lets put aside the Bush admin's percieved failures and focus on how Mr. Obama has attempted to remedy each issue. When those of you who voted for him look at it from this perspective, then rational conversation can ensue. Until then, neither those of you who voted for this Busch League President, or Mr. Obama himself, can accurately describe how he is going to fix it. Obviously, what he has done so far is not working. But until you want to explain, and quit bashing the Bush team, I guess the rest of us will have to look at Mr. Biden's website.

No one should have trusted Obama, now the market finally figured that out.

The "Hussein", "Marxists", and "Messiah" crap has been old for some time now.

Find where I have once, referred to him in any other way other than, Mr. Obama or Busch League. Best wishes.

And to your general statement, I agree. We should call him what he is. A LIAR.

If all of you hate Obama so much and want him to fail, why the hell don't you just move to China where you won't have to pay taxes. Seriously, leave, because the economic policies that were passes unfeathered for the last 6 of 8 years have turned out to be disasterous.

How is prosperity ever going to be a lasting idea? Capital flows regularly. I assume you look at the Clinton boom as little more than a temp blip followed by a huge crash? Is that right?

You jump on your horse and pretend that Obama hasn't already outspent Bush, then try to back it up.

I like the highlighted TARP. That's cute. Trying to pin that thing on the Bush admin is retarded. Paulson had his hand in the pie, but the dem congress was driving that train as hard as possible. Obama's crowd has now sequestered half of it for their own purposes. Tag that portion to his crew because there is no debate that he is the driving force behind taking it.

Are you serious? He was the man in charge, mind you, and he sported a mighty veto pen.

Your welcome. I do my part as the unsilent minority here.
amazing how so many of your brethren who were so vocal at election time are nowhere to be found, save LG with his occasional idiotic Limbaugh comments.

Why cant we all realize it does not matter which party wins the presidency? Every candidate was a disaster waiting to happen and the rest of the government has lost any sense of responsibility to their constituents.

McCain would have sucked, so would Kerry and Gore.

we might actually be getting low enough on the usefulness meter that the Libertarian party can become a viable outfit.

I'm in.

It is amplified by the Bush critics and their constant disrespect for the office. McCain probablly couldnt fix it, but I never heard him make such sweeping, broad promisises that Mr. Obama did. That aside, it is our current state that is concerning and imo, our political leader is unept in handeling it.
