It is sad that people expect the gov't to help out every one and make fairness a law............

Compassion and helping a neighbor out should be a choice not a tax.

Logistics and Trans or Supply Chain Mgmt. There are plenty of jobs out there in those fields for qualified people. It's what I do and everyone who was let go from my group found a job within a month

gotcha. is thta similar to operations research? i have a buddy who has a phd in that from mit and is in huge demand.

don't know that one but I looked it up and seems to be more math/statistics/modeling based than what we do. Sounds sort of the same but we aren't really that formal

Similar - typically Ops Mgmt focuses on intra-company and Logistics/Trans focuses on inter-company (over simplification but you get the idea).

Logisitics and Trans is an excellent degree field and UT has a recognized program (housed with the Marketing Department).

Well, see, I figure if a large enough of us Americans stop asking the gubmint for it, they will have a real hard time justifying taking it from us in taxes. But I'm a bit of an idealist, I suppose.

To be 100% transparent on the issue, I did get one unemployment check at the urging of my friends (you paid into it, you might as well take it). I felt like such a cheap whore when I got that piddly check, that I resolved never to take another one, and I didn't. I mowed lawns and drove big trucks instead, until I found this job.

its Logistics and Transportation, and the LT program at UT is the best in the country. If you get a LT degree, you get a good paying job at FedEx or UPS, etc.

The thing that me and my friends have noticed about jobs in the south, is whether you "fit in" with your boss and company. Older people with more experience will get passed up for a job because they dont mesh well with their boss or other coworkers.

And we would do well to to take all the revisionist pages out our history books, like that page that says Washington won the Whiskey Rebellion!!

Under the Obama administration we have the right to life, temporarily, liberty, til he can do better and haplessness.
