according to cnbc.

edit: in other words they will pay 5% more in taxes on their income. the actual tax increase is more like 14%.

well if u cld get half of america to actually pay their taxes there wld be no need in taking that money from the rich. i'm in no way shape or form rich, and even i think its messed up that you make them pay more and then u have half the nation not paying anything. there should be a flat tax

He keeps hitting the earners with 50k annual tac increases and he can watch the employment rates drop through the floor.

ridiculous. all people making over a $1 mil a year inherited it or at least got the money by working over the middle class.

they are smoking crack. obama is on pace to be out in 4 yrs

I'm starting to believe this too. He doesn't have the majority of the public behind a lot of his decisions now. I thought he had the intelligence of Clinton to move toward the center, but apparently not.

Clinton was helped in that regard by the republicans. Obama does not have that saving grace. He has Pelosi, the combined leadership of the top three in power would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

personally i think he figures he's going to use this opportunity to get thru everything the democratic party has wanted to get thru while he has the ability. a couple of years from now he's just going to hope by coincidence that the economy is in full recovery and of course he will take 100% credit for it.

That is a scary scenario. The timing of when the economy starts to recover.

not that obama isn't personally trying to do everything to make sure the economy doesn't recover, but i think it is fairly likely we will be well into a recovery by that point with the amount of money the fed is throwing at the system. frankly i think this is the only thing that can save obama.
