actually he was on record talking about black people and it was not good at all. i read a couple of weeks ago that he didn't ban slavery because he thought black people shouldn't be slaves. i can't find the article but i was supprised about what the article said.

Obama really needs to get of Lincoln's jock. Lincoln got a list of 50,000 casualties in 6 weeks during Grant's overland campaign in Virginia and understood what the cost was for. Lincoln endured, Obama is pissing his pants becaue he caps salaries and wants to spend 1.7 trillion today instead of tomorrow.

In this statement, despite his reference to differences in "intellectual and moral endowments," Lincoln shows his belief that both black and white were entitled to equal rights and protection under the Constitution. For the record, Lincoln did not die for black civil rights. Booth actually made the decision to kill Lincoln the day of the assassination, when he heard that Lincoln would be attending a play at Ford's Theatre. Booth's decision to assassinate Lincoln was not influenced by any statements of Lincoln's in support of black rights.

One thing I find comically ironic is that Obama is so vehemently opposed to things such as the Patriot Act but the man that he styles himself after (Lincoln) suspended the writ of habeas corpus and shut down newspapers that opposed him.

well if you think about it. they're not to far off. hussein wants to stop conservative talk radio. as for the patriot act, he'll not do much to change it.

I'm reading Sandburg's biography of Lincoln. We all know of Lincoln's greatness, but Sandburg really brings it to life---I believe he won a Pulitzer for it.

You can't help but stand in awe of how well-read, wise, and complex Lincoln was. It doesn't seem likely that any other man could have led us out of that war---similar to Churchill.

there is an intent to incriminate him. not to go overboard but the same way Hitler made "funny" pictures of jews and made them seem sub human by refering to them as rats.You use his middle name to associate him with saddam, and islamic heritage which is as laughable as saying Saddam supported terrorism. Because you're obviously doing it with racist/fear mongering undertones. Trust me, my dad does it as well and it's as annoying as piss. It's also very ignorant. There's been plenty of people with my name that have done evil things. Nobody holds that against me just because I share their name, thankfully. Why should it be held against Obama?
