Not really honestly. It's also hard to say what is racist (when viewing some things Lincoln said) when just about everything these days is spun into calling one racist.
In today's world is Lincoln a racist? Yes.
Was he racist for his time period? No.
I don't have the answer, but one has to think some of his comments on race were more political than his personal views.
In the 1860s he would have lost had he been painted as a man who wanted to free the blacks etc so I think it's safe to assume some things he said were calculated.
And if I'm not mistaken he wasn't even on the ballot in The South.
Abe is my favorite president and do I view him as a racist? No.
