With the VAT and even poor pay a percent, they should all be eligible to vote. Got to buy gas, cigarettes, and beer, right?
I think a 10% VAT capped should be more than enough for the FEDs.

Nearly half of the people in this country pay NET zero in FED income taxes. Not talking about state and local. If you don't pay net fed income taxes you shouldn't vote or your vote shouldn't count as much. The fed taxes on beer and smokes are luxury taxes and are taxes you choose to pay. Taxes on fuel.....meh.

Agree. This is why I said abolish the Income Tax and establish a VAT on everyone even the poor. They will be pay less buy buying less and the illegals will pay it and the rich will pay it. Cap that sucker at 10% and if the Feds can't pay their bills then cut spending under a balanced budget amendment. Drop all these damn social programs also. That States can handle the rest the way they see fit as long as they follow the US Constitution.

Yep, he is more of a populist but has done some great conservative things as in Judge Appointments. To me that is the most important. Calling out the Liberal Media is fantastic also. They've been needing to be checked hard for a while now.
