I'll open:

PG- Reynolds
SG-DeShields
Wing-Nared
Post-Russell
Post-Nunn

Those starters to be spelled at guard by Middleton and Jackson,with Dunbar spelling Nared on the wing and Harris helping at the post positions. Another result of the very poor recruiting result for this year.

One or two more injuries and they will be having open tryouts looking for players like LSU had to do last year..:blink:

I would think the healthy players would be happy at the prospect of more playing time. Does anyone really want to spend the game on the bench watching? A smaller roster should help with on-court chemistry. UConn won the last three championships by playing basically a six-man rotation at the final fours. It helps cohesion. Last year, Holly was constantly subbing players in and out. It is hard to play like a well-oiled machine when that happens. While this is unfortunate for Cooper, it may help strengthen the team in the end. (And Cooper can always petition for a redshirt fifth year.)

Maybe this will keep Diamond here another year so she can play her final season with Tea....they have an extremely close relationship....never know, there could be a silver lining to this.

I said over and over after the season ended Holly needed to make a big push to recruit a pg for this year.

Well this sucks. the injury bug continues to hit this team my hope is that we don't lose anymore players to injury as the season goes on. Reynolds cannot start out this season the same way she did last year and Middleton needs to gain confidence in herself. i hope Jackson and Dunbar don't get buried on the bench and that Holly actually does give them some minutes.

Middleton was on her way......bit, NP, , , The world is full of successful ventures that start out rocky.

The door is open Kiddo. . . Kick that sucker in and play like you own the court. Perform every time on the court, like you already own the position and am fighting to keep it, you will work with a different mentality.

I heard that Meme has had arthroscopic surgery on her knee but is expected to be available for the upcoming season.
Is that true ? I don't remember reading it here.

Holly alluded to that in her press conference.

I cringe at the aspect of hearing injuries being an excuse this season. Nine players is plenty.

I like Middleton in the SG spot because "should be a spot up shooter" not a PG.

DD over Nared because Nared is too timid in attacking the drive if ANYTHING blocks her path.

The x-factor is going to be Nunn. I believe she will not only give us the numbers that Basha did, but will also give us an intimidator in the paint

No way Middleton start over nared, DD will play the 2 & nared will be the 3. I think Middleton will be the first guard off the bench tho.

Middleton is a PG. It wasn't too long ago that we had a problem trying to convert SG/wings to PG because we didn't have any natural PG's. So now that we've got a couple, we want one of them to play out of position? :banghead2:

Middleton is just as athletic as Kara Lawson ever was, I seem to remember her having a good season or two.....

Nope, I stand by this lineup right now.
It is how I would run them out the gate, until something changed my mind.

PG- Reynolds
SG-Middleton
Wing-Deshields
Low-Post-Russell
High-Post-Nunn

Reynolds has shown back up for this season, after her summer with a stronger body. I think she has something to prove.Middleton is looking to shoot. Her confidence is high. This WILL be DD's season to shine. She knows it. I know it...Merce will continue from where she left off in the playoffs and finally realize how to use her athleticism and play to her potential...and Shaqui is backy... She will give this team something it hasn't had in a while...Controlled-meanness. T look into this girl's eyes is to see ferocity.

Jaime needs some moxey... If a defender gets in her way on a drive she freezes... Technique will teach her how to use the defender to rotate on her flight. Once she learns how to do this, she begin to look for someone to run over.

Kamera Harris is the x-factor for me. She's a banger. A low-post imposer who seemingly love to initiate contact in the low-post. (I love this)... Kortney Dunbar has got to either extend her game or be better at what it is. If your game is to be a shooter, then hit those shots. I want my gunner to be 45% or better from anywhere past mid-court and to be able to hit anywhere from paint-to-arc. That's why I like Alexa, she is comfortable from both spacings.

Meme Jackson,,,I know she was looking for someone to learn from. And that was ALL I saw that she needed. If she got that teaching, she can be a very game-changing player. She can give us a Moriah Jefferson type guard.
