Huge #Rays trade is Shields AND Davis (and PTBNL) to #Royals for OF Myers, RHP Odorizzi, LHP Montgomery, 3B Leonard

Odorizzi is a nice piece, Monty used to be good.


If they are giving up that much, the Royals may sign Shields to an exension

the fact that frenchie still has a starting gig sucks. but yeah they may be .500+

i think duffy is hurt. but they may try davis as a start even though he was a lot better out of the pen.

shields is an absolute horse and an ace, so I understand it for Myers. But I did not expect to see Odorizzi as one of the other names that popped up.

Dayton Moore is going for getting fired. Myers for shields is too steep. Everything else added in just makes it nonsensical.

6 years of Wil Myers for two years of James shields. Two years you aren't even going to contend. Desperate move with the wrong piece at the wrong time.

I'll be interested to see if the Rays get Myers to sign an extension.
