Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread

The Saints proved this season that you can win a Super Bowl with a great offense. They upgraded their defense from awful to solid.

Their defenses stats tend to suggest better than just solid (I had them for fantasy, I know)

They forced an absolutely ridiculous amount of turnovers (mostly picks) and that's the thing that got them past the vikes in to win the conference champ and won them the super bowl against the colts; they didn't win those games by scoring 30 more points than the colts or Vikings;

they weren't scoring like 5-6 TDs on offense their big games, they had a really good defense that got 26 INTs on the season and led the league in TDs off of INTs and dominated in yards off of INTs and led the league in fumble return TDs; their offense was solid, yes. But what made them great was the way they were absolutely able to wreak havoc with turnovers and either get points off of them or get constant great set ups for their offense to score

their defense was not shut down; but the way it insanely forced turnovers and scores consistantly, made it great

And I've pointed out that those teams usually are flash in the pans who are good for a few years. Colts are not in that category.

we'll see. you guys will more than likely make the playoffs just b/c of the division....but I dont think they can be depended on / favored to put together another deep run like last year's

anybody else notice that Berman and the gang don't know when the camera is rolling.
Gruden said something to Kiper about the Dumb### coaches in the league.

Defense was really aggresive and was a bend but don't break. They wouldn't have the Super Bowl without that solid defense. I was meaning to say that a team can be offensive oriented and still win a championship.

Seattle is probably the winner of day 1.

Okung and Thomas....great day for PC and company.
