Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread

I wish this wasn't a three day event; it just feels like these next rounds have lost some of their shine

I'm kind of secretly hoping that Sat (and maybe even today) has such a drop in viewers (cause you can tell the number is going to drop each day) that the NFL has to cut it back down to 2 days or at least put it back on the weekend

I feel the opposite. I can't wait for 6pm tonight.

Isnt that what the draft is all about? lol

The only reason I am thinking that the Cheifs pick him up is Weis. You know he wants him

the draft is about surprises but it's also about refilling what your team needs; while Weis might like Clausen, he's not their HC or GM

they're really high on Matt Cassel; it would surprise me greatly if they're done with him after 1 season, i think they think he's their future and are going to give him Matt Schaub time

Not necessarily all addressed today obviously but the Titans need depth at CB, LB, OL, and knowing the Titans they'll draft another RB somewhere along with some WR no one's ever heard of that they'll start raving about as being a sleeper. :)

you'll see a RB or WR later on just as a shot in the dark/depth I think

but in the 3rd and 4th expect Corners or Olinemen most likely....perhaps a safety if someone falls

LB is not as big of a need as everyone's actually making it honestly

At first I didnt like the new setup, but when I got up this morning and realized that the second round starts tonite, it did give me a reason to look forward to it.

I think I just would rather continued with the 2nd round yesterday after all the build up instead of like hit the pause button and gotten up

I do think there's going to be a drop in viewer total each day though; not sure how great of one though

I agree, Witherspoon alleviated that quite a bit but since McGrath is likely getting elevated to starter then we still need at least another LB body for depth/ST unless we just plan to wait on released LBs this summer.

I'm actually surprised they put it on a Friday night like this. With the weather getting nicer most places I have got to believe people will be out and about rather than inside watching. Unless you're a married loser like myself :)

allred's your backup guy; they do need one more for some depth yes, but not anyone that needs to be drafted above say CB, OL or even WR depth

I do think though they are somewhat monitoring both Bulluck and Thorton on their injury recoveries and may sign back one depending; still that's a "may"

Thornton seems more likely because I believe they can sign him to a pretty reasonable 1-2 year deal. I just feel like "best player available" could end up being a LB in Round 3/4, but you just never know.

CB is a huge need for the Titans but I think with the players we brought in they feel they can plug one of them in, this and recent history leads me to this conclusion. They need another long term solution at LB, I agree they will see what develops with Bullock and Thornton with Thornton being the most likely. Even then they will need to start grooming another player to fill one of those roles unless they feel fairly confident McGrath will pan out.

Maybe the Titans can land Javier Arenas in the 3rd round. He would be a good return man that could play corner for them too.

I'd actually like them to take brandon james with like a 4th or 5th round pick

For a return guy

I expect to see the Colts take an OL in the 2nd, and go with either a DT or Safety in the third. I'm kinda hoping for a Myron Rolle pick up. Getting a center and a return guy on day 3 would be a good move.

They really like mcgrath as one of their future LBs. They think he will develop and are going to give him a chance to start at least this year

I am furious! I missed both Berry and Dan Williams. Anyone have a video so I can see Berry's name get called?
