By the way, Ricky Gervais posted this:

"This won't be the first time that thousands of Germans will have to lie low in Brazil for a while for their own safety."

New York Times Twitter:

"I'd like to say that Germany has made it look easy. But they've really made it look humiliating."

And later:

"Next German who shoots gets a straight red if I'm the referee."

Been waiting for a while for the Germans to get back to the form they're capable of. They've struggled against strong possession based teams or physical load the box defenses, but they're aren't any of those left, so I like their chances in the final.

I know he's nowhere near the player Ronaldo was, but really happy for Klose to get the record. The guys a hard working, professional, team player and it's nice to see those guys get records.

Germany reconfirms they are a powerhouse today with a masterpiece.
A 7-0 all to easy win over Brazil in Brazil man that is a egregious embarrassment.

Also whatever predictor about Brazil being a 64 percent favorite I think to be garbage.

It could have been a precautionary move.

That or not wasting any more time to watch the abomination, or the abysmal garbage.
Brazil's performance was as awful as batman and robin movie, Jaws the revenge, or Battlefield earth but amazing if you watch it was a comedy that I read .

To quote Darth Vader one of the greatest movie villains "all to easy." For Germany today.

That game could've been 15-0 easily if the Germans hadn't taken there foot off the gas. Wow! I was hoping for a Germany v. Argentina final before the WC and I think I might just get my wish.

The post I quoted was responding/referencing an earlier one:

They announced over the P.A. for the German fans to please remain in the stadium so they could be escorted out safely.

I took off work early to watch what I thought would be the game of the tournament. At least I can say that I watched a game that will be remembered for decades.

That was an unforgettable event in sports history that happened today. You just don't see that, it wa surreal.

It would have been like the Steelers and Cowboys in the Super Bowl played at Jerry Jones stadium and the score being Steelers 56-0 at halftime. It was an annihilation the likes I find hard to find a comparable real life sporting event to at the moment.

Cavendish having a tour ending wreck just as he was starting his kick to sprint for the stage win on home soil comes to mind and I'm just thinking back a few days.

Does not compare, for more than one reason.

Brazilian soccer is much >>>>>>>>> than Cavendish.

Also, the Brazilian soccer team did not lose because the team was injured and could not compete. They were dismantled by their opponent.

35 million tweets about the game yesterday. Most ever for sporting event.

Bunch of people referencing the Nazi's or even the Holocaust too...Stuff like, "Anne Frank put up a better fight against Germany" or "The Germans must think Brazil is a Polish Jew"...Good taste took the day off in some cases.

I don't know why it's not OK to make fun of Germany for their horrendous deeds. Shaming is a good thing, IMO.

No Ageuro. Expected that. It was Higuain or Ageuro. Not both. Needs the work rate of Lavezzi and Perez to provide some support for the defense and counter that the Dutch has relied on so much through this tournament.

And de Jong is starting. Likely for the sole purpose of hacking Messi throughout the game. Would be shocked if he makes it through 45 mins without a yellow card.

Exactly. I'd be willing to bet the European collective view on what a stereotypical "Southern" is would be pretty harsh considering our own history.

It's free game in my book. I t can go over the line a bit, but most historical referenced humor is funny while stinging a little because its based on truths.
