This a big reason I'm not as worried about starting pitching. Between Cox, Warren, Serrano, and Martin I think we will be fine. The bullpen worries me, but guys like Soto, Jackson, Reid, and Freeman throwing well has been nice to see.

Cammarata goes 1/3 with a walk and a run for Morehead City, but they lose 4-2...Reid does not make an appearance...They love them some DCam over there, a very popular player with the fans...

Normally, I'm a bit reserved about results like this in summer ball, but it wasn't just going up against an Ole Miss pitcher, there were SEC and ACC guys on the other team tonight...this was a legit outing, on par with anything Marks put up last summer in the same league...still early, but that was pretty dominant, better than anything Serrano did last summer...I think. :)

I think you're right. Serrano was really tested in Alaska at times last year so it is encouraging. Hopefully they keep it up! Soto had a real nice start up there too.

Yep, Serrano never bettered 4.2 IP with 8 K and 3 BB...Marks went 7.1 with 10 K and 1 BB, but he didn't do until July...Marks got 2 W's total, Warren is already there...Not bad.

It's late...Leftridge did not start for Anchorage and as of the 8th, he hasn't entered the game...Hall has another game...I'll update those guys tomorrow...

To be fair, Marks had been hurt that season, so they were probably bringing him along out in Alaska...I'd forgotten about that...still, good showing for Warren.

Thanks for all the updates, usually try and get on several times at night and first thing in the morning to see what all happened in the games. Appreciate the effort and time given...........and my D1 subscription offer still stands 66.

And you have to believe that the staff will be bringing in 3-4 guys that will step in and contribute heavily as well. CDS is all in for the 2016 season.

Who is ready for the Summer Solstice Showdown tonight? We are! Miners and Pilots will battle again tonight at 10 pm!

Not me, that's 2 AM here...I'll be skipping that one.

NOOOOOOOOO! It ends in the 7th, dunno if it's a DH or a 10 run rule, they were up 16-6...he had a chance to hit for the cycle...Shoot!

Welp he goes 3/5, 3 R, 1 RBI...

DCam goes 1/5...The Marlins get crushed 20-7. They were never really in it, save Reid for another day...

Westhampton, LA Brewers, Anchorage Bucs, not in action tonight...

Langhorne not in the line up for the Blues this evening...

Pruett is 1/3 so far for the Marshals, B7...

Post Game last night...

ABL- Matsu Miners | MINERS TAKE TWO BACK FROM PILOTS BEHIND DOMINANT PITCHING | Pointstreak Sites

What began as a hot start is quickly becoming a trend. Mat-Su Miners pitchers have been outstanding each night, and Friday night's doubleheader in Anchorage against the Glacier Pilots was no exception.

In game one, Zach Warren was dominant. He worked 6-2/3 innings, giving up no earned runs behind 11 strikeouts. He did not allow a hit until the 5th inning on a tough-luck infield single. He earned his second win in the Miners' 2-0 win, as Brick Paskiewicz nailed down the final out to lock up his fourth save of the season....

From last nights outing...

Well, Pruett's Marshals had a 1 hour lightning delay, the live stats went out as well...They won 5-4, but i'll have to update Pruett tomorrow...I'm not going to wait around for the 2 AM Mat-Su Miners game either, so I'll update that one tomorrow too...

Not a bad weekend for the Vols of summer so far, not bad at all...tough loss for the Gators tonight...

GBO!!!

Chris Hall was 1-4 last night and scored the only run in a 1-0 win for the Miners.
