Soto picks up the "W"...after some drama...

KS is on the slate tomorrow for Orleans...6:30 PM

The starting pitcher for the other team appeared in 16 games for Ole Miss this year.

Yep...and Matthew McGary is a Vandy player, Soto K'd him but also gave up a hit to him...It was a good outing for Soto and it translates to SEC ball.

FWIW, probably has as much validity as High School National Rankings or pre-season polls in November but thought I'd post anyway...........

You're good! Hall is 1-2 with a BB.
Leftridge is 0-2 with an RBI so far.

Zach Reid got the loss today. He threw 1 inning giving up 2 runs, 1 earned. According to the play-by-play it should have been a 123 inning.

Live stats are down, but based on Twitter, Freeman got the start today, going 4.1 IP...I'll get the stats later...

Leftridge went 1/3 today...

No games of note in the Cape today...Senzel is batting .310...

Hunter Martin gives up a run in the 6th, he's struck out 9 so far tonight...Miners trail 1-0...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYO51y4140c&feature=youtu.be

Sorry I've been away as of late...some notes...

Zach Warren leads the ABL in strike outs with 27 and his 0.45 ERA is 3rd best in the league. Aaron Soto is tied for 1st in the ABL with 3 wins...

As the release from UT states Moberg, Rodgers and Langhorne are all batting above .300. Moberg has done this before and it doesn't necessarily translate to SEC ball. However, it is nice to see Langhorne batting .351 and maybe more impressive that Rodgers has 20 RBI, with 3 doubles, 3 triples and a home run...

Langhorne was ranked a top 50 SS going into his senior year of HS, 3rd best SS in Virginia by PG. He has been competing for playing time with senior to be, Nick King, a SS from UGA. Last year King hit .242 and started all 54 games for the Bulldogs. He's hitting .280 in the CCL against the same competition. This is a good sign for Langhorne...

Eric Freeman's stats are a little misleading, he's 0-3. In his first two outings his Valley team was shutout, even though he pitched well enough to win, he got no run support. In his last outing he gave up 1 ER, but 5 runs were scored while he was pitching and Valley finished with 7 errors...He's pitched the 3rd most innings for the team and has a 2.70 ERA. He needs to work on the walks, his 11 is a team high...

The guys in the Cape are performing fairly well. Martin's last outing was rough, we'll have to wait and see if that becomes a regular thing. He'd pitched well up until that point. Senzel is over .300, about what I expected and KS is probably exceeding expectations in terms of his SO/BB ratio, 13/3 in 15 IP and 3 wins, all 5 inning outings...

Zach Reid has the most appearances (12) and pitched the most innings (24.1) for Morehead. He has a 2.22 ERA and teams are batting .192 against him, 2nd best on the team (among those who have pitched 10+ innings)...

Dominick Cammarata is only batting .225, but he has 5 HR, 2nd most on the team and tied for 3rd in the League...

Brewster and Orleans were scheduled for 7 PM, that game has been postponed...

After a hot start, Pruett is batting .246 currently and hasn't recorded an RBI since June 10th, he leads the team in AB and is tied for the most hits...In 61 AB, he's only K'd 4 times...They've only won 7 of their 24 games...

Wow, that was fast...UT Sports updated the look of their web sight...

Chris Hall gets the start in RF...batting in the lead off position for Matsu...
