Sorry I've been away as of late...some notes...
Zach Warren leads the ABL in strike outs with 27 and his 0.45 ERA is 3rd best in the league. Aaron Soto is tied for 1st in the ABL with 3 wins...
As the release from UT states Moberg, Rodgers and Langhorne are all batting above .300. Moberg has done this before and it doesn't necessarily translate to SEC ball. However, it is nice to see Langhorne batting .351 and maybe more impressive that Rodgers has 20 RBI, with 3 doubles, 3 triples and a home run...
Langhorne was ranked a top 50 SS going into his senior year of HS, 3rd best SS in Virginia by PG. He has been competing for playing time with senior to be, Nick King, a SS from UGA. Last year King hit .242 and started all 54 games for the Bulldogs. He's hitting .280 in the CCL against the same competition. This is a good sign for Langhorne...
Eric Freeman's stats are a little misleading, he's 0-3. In his first two outings his Valley team was shutout, even though he pitched well enough to win, he got no run support. In his last outing he gave up 1 ER, but 5 runs were scored while he was pitching and Valley finished with 7 errors...He's pitched the 3rd most innings for the team and has a 2.70 ERA. He needs to work on the walks, his 11 is a team high...
The guys in the Cape are performing fairly well. Martin's last outing was rough, we'll have to wait and see if that becomes a regular thing. He'd pitched well up until that point. Senzel is over .300, about what I expected and KS is probably exceeding expectations in terms of his SO/BB ratio, 13/3 in 15 IP and 3 wins, all 5 inning outings...
Zach Reid has the most appearances (12) and pitched the most innings (24.1) for Morehead. He has a 2.22 ERA and teams are batting .192 against him, 2nd best on the team (among those who have pitched 10+ innings)...
