Serrano does not pitch...with the weekend coming up...just saying', just saying'...

Cammarata goes 0/4 with a foul out and 3 fly outs, a HBP and a run...

Langhorne goes 1/4...2 K's, single, a run, a fly out and a walk...He came up T9, runners at 1 and 2, trailing 5-4, 2 outs and a chance to at least tie the game and he K's looking at a 2-2 pitch.

I had planned to profile Dominick Cammarata today, but in light of the news that he MAY transfer, I'll just discuss the catcher position.

By now everyone knows that CDS and staff got the #1 catcher in the country to commit to UT and that Chris Betts went in the second round to Tampa Bay. I guess it could be argued that he did not end up the #1 catcher and from what I read there were two reasons he slid. 1. He has some elbow issues and was shut down late in the season. 2. He was too familiar to scouts and he was no longer the flavor of the month.

It's been reported numerous places that Betts was seeking 2 million+ to sign and the drop put him at a slot value of 1.16 million. By rule, and someone correct me if I get this wrong, the Rays must offer him at least 40% of the slot, roughly $460,000+. The Rays could also go higher than the slot to sign Betts. So there's a wide margin for negotiations, but I think most would agree, we will lose Betts to the draft.

Houser is gone, he'll either go the free agent route to the minors or transfer. If Cammarata leaves, maybe rookievol has some info on that...that would leave us with Santiago and Schultz as returning players. Schultz, for those who have not been keeping up, had back surgery and I might be getting this wrong, but I believe it might be his second back surgery. Based on his twitter, he just started running. This also helps explain why Santiago was given the summer off. Sean Skelly would be the incoming freshman. He's a California kid, 5-10/11, 180, PG grade is 8.5.

Due to the recent events, a position that had great depth is an injury away from being the thinnest it's been during Serrano's tenure. It wouldn't surprise me if CDS goes out and finds a JUCO to shore up the position.

end of season review (each player has one), didn't like what he heard..........CDS must have some catchers coming in that have not been made public yet. Is Shultz coming back definite? I have no idea......

For the record, Forrest Bramlett, catcher that transferred in the fall, made all conference at Georgia Perimeter College this past season.

KS is done...5 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO...21 BF...Leaves with a 5-3 lead...not bad, Friday night starter in the Cape, hope it holds.

I think we see a big jump in KS by next year. The control is getting better and he has always had the stuff.

Only got to watch the last inning and a half, but even on the misses, he was close...he had a HBP and probably a wild pitch in the late part of the game, otherwise he looked pretty good to my know nothing about pitching eyes. :p

The Brewster Whitecaps game (Senzel, Martin) got postponed...

No Vols starting for Matsu (Hall, Warren) tonight...

Pruett had the night off as did Langhorne...

The LA Brewers played somebody (Moberg, Rodgers), still waiting on the box...

At 11 PM, the Anchorage Bucs (Brodie, Soto) play their first game, awaiting line up...should be able to listen here: Hot Talk 95.1 FM and 1080 AM ...I make no promises :)

The OP has been updated, and will be complete by Monday at the latest...folks can check stats anytime they so choose...I'll also update with schedules and other extras next week...
