Marlins Grind Out Another Extra-Inning Win Over Wilmington - Morehead City Marlins

WILMINGTON, N.C.—Facing the proposition of a three-game losing streak, the Marlins had their backs against the wall. The Sharks loaded the bases with one out in the 10th inning against LHP Zach Reid (Tennessee), who shut the door, giving his squad another chance to break their woes after blowing a one-run lead earlier in the frame.

The Marlins (7-8) responded in tremendous fashion as Luke Bolka (East Carolina) collected a leadoff double in the 12th, eventually coming around to score on a game-winning sacrifice fly from Grant Tyndall (Mt. Olive) for another dramatic win over the Sharks, this time 9-7 in 12 innings on Tuesday night. Tyndall completed the process with an outstanding diving catch to preserve the win.

In fact, Reid (3-1) pitched three innings of scoreless relief repeating his most recent outing against the Sharks which went five solid frames out of the bullpen. For the second-straight meeting, the Marlins and Sharks went back and forth from the start...

Senzel just rocketed a lead off double off the chain link fence...WP and he's on 3B...Brewster trailing 3-2
