Will Neely pitched 5 innings, 9 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO...

Zach Reid pitched one inning in relief, gave up a 1 out solo home run, no BB, or K's...

Jordan Rodgers went 1/3 with a run and an RBI his BA is .346...

Benito Santiago went 0/3 with 2 strike outs. His BA is .217...

Brodie Leftridge went 2 for 5 with a run. His BA is .262...

Leno Ramirez went 1/5...

DCam went 0/2...



Hunter Martin is scheduled to start this evening as Brewster takes on Hyannis at 5 PM in Cape Cod League action.

Martin gives up a lead off double, the runner eventually gets on third...with 2 outs Rodgers comes to the plate and Martin strikes him out on three pitches.

B3, Brewster up 3-1...unfortunately, I have to leave...All of the UT players have made some nice plays and Martin has looked pretty good since that first inning...

Martin retires the side in order in the 4th with 2 K's.

Benito leads off the 5th and flies out to deep center, then Martin K's the next two batters. He has 8 strikeouts through 5 innings. Brewster still leads 3-1.

I personally think HM will have a stellar year in 2017...just stay healthy.

I agree, if we can avoid the injury bug and a couple of the freshman can contribute we might be deeper and better than any team in the CDS tenure.

Hunter is done for the day, good outing. Benito was 0-2 with a strikeout facing Martin, so Hunter has bragging rights until next time.

6 IP, 5 Hits, 2 ER, 8 K's and no walks.

Brewster roughed up UK pitcher Justin Lewis with 6 runs on 5 hits and they now lead 12-2 going into the 9th.

Jordan leads off the 9th with a single and will finish the day 2-4.

Brodie goes 0-4 dropping his average to .239.

Ventura leads 8-2 in the 5th. Waldren is 1-2 with an RBI and a BB.

You and 31 have done as much as I have this year, no doubt...and I'm off to West Tennessee tomorrow, already looking forward to checking this space when I get back on Sunday.

Just something I've been thinking about...we have a good class of arms, the best class of arms we've had since CDS has been here imo, plus KS, Warren, Westphal, Martin, Neely and Soto...

It took Pat Casey a decade to make a regional and we have a lot in common with a school like that in terms of baseball.

I'm, as always...optimistic.

Just thankful we have this place to talk about baseball. Thanks Freak!
