Jacob Westphal threw an inning tonight, faced 3 batters, struck out 2 and gave up no walks, hits or runs...hasn't given up a walk in his 5 IP this summer so far...

Jordan Rodgers went 2/4 with a run, a double, a triple and 2 RBI and a K. He's batting .348, best on the team of anyone with a minimum 20 AB.

The more & more stats people put up of Jordan Rodgers makes we wonder how in the heck did didn't get drafted. I still don't get it.

He just didn't finish like he started and he certainly doesn't project as a first baseman, hopefully he'll be allowed to play a position he's more suited for next season...it's hard to say what will happen at 2B with Moberg coming back but JRog could play 2B.

1st baseman don't get drafted with his stats

He could have been drafted as a 2B. That's probably going to be his position when it comes to the pros anyhow. Besides, 1B with worse stats than his were drafted in 2016. He didn't have bad stats anyhow.

Moberg has also played 3rd and LF while here, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

What 1st baseman had worse stats?

Keep in mind the HR stat is the key one for that position

These are some scary stats. Most of the hitters are playing in mid level summer leagues and struggling to hit for average. The Vols will really struggle to score runs next year.

The ERAs are mostly low and the BAs are not that bad.

Think this is fairly normal, especially in the first week or so of wood bat leagues.

Leno went 1/4 with a run yesterday.

Waldren had 2 games yesterday...went 1/4 with a run and a BB...went 1/3 w/ 2 RBI...
