Official Book Thread - What You're Reading & Everything Book Related (merged)

Started the new Clive Cussler, it has the distinction of being the first book I read on my Kindle

Just finished an uber girly book now I've started Decision Points by GW. So far it's a great read and I'm only on chpt 1. :)

Currently reading both, The Greatest Show On Earth by Richard Dawkins and World War Z. I've been reading Greatest Show for over a month now... until recently I'd been reading on my phone.

I read about 2/3 of World War Z, sat it down and never got back to it. I'll have to start all over again once I get done with a few others.

Bout to read Orwels's 1984 for school. Actually interested in a school book for once

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and Utopia by Sir Thomas Moore are equally good dystopian reads.

Funny you should mention Brave New World, that's one of my choices to read. I hope I can read it soon.

But I wanted to read 1984 first since I've heard a lot more about it in pop culture, news, other books and stuff.

I thought Brave New World was ultimately the better read but 1984 blew my effin' mind the first time I read it. Let me know what you think of both when you are done. Love talking literature.

Lately... anything by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.

RELIC
Reliquary
Cabinet of Curiosities
Still Life with Crows
Brimstone - Part One of the Diogenes Trilogy
Dance of Death - Part Two of the Diogenes Trilogy
Book of the Dead - Part Three of the Diogenes Trilogy
The Wheel of Darkness
Cemetery Dance
Fever Dream

A good read all. Aloysius X. L. Pendergast is a great character.

The Book of Five Rings (Go Rin No Sho) Written by Miyamoto Musashi and The Art of War by Sun Tzu are must reads for anyone going out into the real world.

Into the Woods - clever story didn't like the ending. Main character was a guy. Author was a girl. That combination didn't work.

Just finished up One Shot, One Kill now about to start on Absolute Power by David Baldacci. I like moving between fiction and non.

Getting ready to start Bill Simmons' The Book of Basketball. I read his first book sometime ago. I want to read Death to the BCS next.

About to start The Last Boy tonight about Mickey Mantle.

Also reading Decision Points and enjoying it.

This man speaks the truth. Also read Anthem by Ayn Rand if you enjoy 1984... or even if you don't. It's a great read.

If your going to read Ayn Rand, then Atlas Shrugged is the only one you need to wade into, I've read it 3 or 4 times now.

Getting ready to read Hell's Corner by Baldacci on my new Kindle.

A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. Waiting on the 5th book to come out next year. There's gonna be an HBO series on it starting in January

Love this series. The HBO series is going to be a mix of Rome, Soprano's and Deadwood.
