The Catcher in the Rye - I'm afraid I don't get why this is such a classic book

I am currently reading Magriel on Backgammon. It is the definitive textbook, but doesn't present enough on match equity and doubling, IMHO.

The Glorious Cause by Jeff Sharaa, a novel of the American Revolution. Awesome book to this point.

I found Animal Farm at a book store I like to go to.

I haven't read this book since High School.

I plan on reading Amazon.com: Reviews for The Most Famous Man in America: The Biography of Henry Ward Beecher: Books: Debby Applegate after I finish Out of the Gray Zone. I'm particularly interested in this book. One, because I'm interested in reading about my ancestors and the role they played in the American culture. And two, because it just won the Pulitzer prize. The author is Debby Applegate and the reviews look promising.
