Guy stayed up for 11 and change, all a setup, though. Just a promo about how Alvarez can "tough it out and last the distance"

Decent weekend coming up, nothing great, but an ok lead in to a pretty good 3 week run.

Tonight's FNF card is decent, nobody with a real high ceiling long term but a few entertaining guys, especially Molina.

Tomorrow has a rare HBO triple header on BAD. I think Tavoris Cloud might be the guy with the most upside here but I doubt his fight will be any good. The main is the return of Devon Alexander and I'll pretty much take a wait and see approach with him from now on. His run around the ring act against Bradley was a joke. As for the heavyweight fight, no clue why they're deciding to show this one. Who can't wait to see 40 yr old Ray Austin fight again?

Next week, however, has the first heavyweight fight I can remember wanting to see in quite some time. Finally (unless he decides to seriously ***** about the ref being used) David Haye is going to take on one of the Klitschko brothers. It will be on twice next Saturday, live at 4:45 and then again on replay around 10. Still think Vlad will win this one with a decent margin in the end, but the fact that it's not already a foregone conclusion is a big step up for the division.

Week after that has what will without a doubt be the most entertaining of any upcoming fight as neither Brandon Rios and Urbano Antillion really have much of a defense other than walking into a punch and trying to hit back harder.

I don't have any reason to think his chin has improved, I just think he's gotten a lot better at protecting it.

Also true but I think a few years ago he realized he could dominate on a scorecard with that battering ram he calls a jab and never really open himself up to being hit and possibly exposed. Makes him a pretty damn boring fighter but it's effective for him.

Yep. Tune in around the 8th and wait for him to paste somebody. The Mainstream obsession with heavyweights will never stop pissing me off.

I could stand to go the rest of my life without seeing Haye fight or hearing Roy Jones talk ever again.

Thoughts so far.

Camera work is dreadful.

Jones Jr doesnt even know who is fighting. Wladimir or Vitaly.

The heavyweight division is a total joke.

That was a BS deduction. Haye is a pussy.

I mean how hard is it to keep the remote camera out of the damn screenshot!!!

All Haye is doing is flopping and trying to get deduction points. All that is wrong with the fatarse division is on full display here...sad.

Some strategy he employed. I don't believe I could stomach watching him fight again. Too bad he didn't get beaten to a pulp.

That was a sorry fight. Thought they were going to stand in the middle and throw??

What a waste of time. Does anybody want to throw anymore?

I watched this fight last night as well. My thoughts are as follows:

1. Germany should never again be able to host a title fight of any kind. That production was beyond poor.

2. Both of these "fighters" :)olol:I chuckle calling them that after this classic bout) are absolutely HORRIBLE.

3. Vladimir Klitchko's boxing skills so closely resembled Ivan Drago's skills in his match against Apollo Creed that I had to remind myself that I was not watching Rocky 4.

4. The Heavyweight division of boxing is officially dead to me.

Wlad is very good at what he does, you can't deny that. Haye wasn't going to make for anything interesting with his mindset.

What's that? Fighting laughing stocks of boxers and committing to absolutely nothing other than an occasional jab because the punching bag in the ring against him is incapable of forcing him to do anything else?
