Official Bubble Watch Thread

As long as one of the losses isn't to Mizzu I say no

I like our chances then.

Man its fun being on the right side of the bubble when we were supposed to be 13th in SEC :) Barnes should be SEC coach of year if we get in

The RPI won't change. It would just be a bad loss, but that means we beat two of UGA, Bama, UK, or USC. Really don't think it matters.

Maybe not but a bad loss isn't something we need to have and give the committee a reason to time us away.

Georgia, Bama, LSU and Vandy could be the 4 in that scenario

Sure changed Arkansas'.

I agree that we need to beat Mizzou but playing Mizzou by itself will hurt our RPI because their record is terrible. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think it changes much if we lose to Mizzou and beat Bama as opposed to beat Mizzou and lose to Bama.

Thanks.

So you think 18-13 gets us in. Is that because of RPI and SOS?

Edit: for the record I am not challenging your thinking. I trust your opinion. Talking with some friends about our chances to make the dance.

I think 18-13 would put us in a play-in

If you lose to Missouri and beat Bama it drops about 10 spots, if you lose to Bama and beat Missouri it pretty much stays the same, maybe drops 1-2 spots.

If 4-3 is outcome ideal scenario is beat Vandy, Alabama, LSU and Missouri...lose to Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina.

Based on how I understand the formula, I don't understand how that happens. Losing home games is bad regardless, but Mizzou and Bama are both at home. The formula doesn't consider who you beat or lose to but merely your record and your opponents' records. Would like to know how that happens.
