Official Bubble Watch Thread

So, you're saying that the SEC tourney didn't matter last year? When all you have to do is win 3-5 games and you can get an automatic invite? Good thing you didn't tell the players that the Auburn, Vandy and LSU games were meaningless. We played our best ball all year last year in the SEC tourney and beat a good Vandy team. This Vandy team this year isn't good. They're average like UT.

Last year the SEC tourney was meaningless to us. We have less than a zero percent chance of winning it and no shot to get to .500 and post season play. Those games might as well have been exhibition games.

Less than 0%? I've seen worse teams win their conference tournament and make it to the NCAA's. I enjoyed the SEC tourney. That was the best we played all year and put a serious dent in Vandy's resume where they had to play in the play-in game. That was fun to me. We actually showed up for once at a SEC tourney.

And yet we were 3 more wins away from it meaning a damn thing. Thanks for making my point.

Which means you thought the entire regular season wasn't meaningful after losing so much. We played our best ball at the end of the year and without Punter. Thanks for making my point. Again, I enjoy wins much more than losses especially cluster ***** ones at home.

The less than zero hyperbole wouldn't have applied in the 2008 SECT.

Correct I didn't enjoy watching the meaningless end to last years regular season. I will trade nights like last night all day long and twice on Sundays over being 12-15 and winning a meaningless game.

And I'll trade beating Vandy at the SEC tourney last year over losing to Vandy for the 3rd straight time at home. But, that's just me.

You have to take the good with the bad. Ole miss, KState, Kentucky and at Vandy were damn fun and more so knowing the bubble was looming. Watching games with a lot on the line just makes it fun for me. I had more entertainment value fun watching last night than I did watching Tennessee beat Auburn last year in the SEC tourney because it was meaningless.

I like that UT was poised to get a tourney spot. I don't like that they have blown multiple opportunities to secure said spot.

Sorry but losing is never fun no matter the situation. Actually, I would argue it's worse when you have something riding on it. Your argument that it's "fun" because it's meaningful is backwards.

Curious what your answer is here.

Would you have rather ended your season as a Titans fan or Falcons fan?

Knew this was coming. Obviously I would want my team to make it to the championship.

That doesn't mean I can't be disappointed with the outcome of the championship if the team I'm cheering for loses.

How many Falcons fans thought the Super Bowl was "fun?"

"Fun" is an interesting word here but I damn sure bet they wouldn't Trade that experience for the "fun" of a meaningless win

I agree but that wasn't your initial argument. You said these last 6 games have been fun because of what was at stake, regardless of the result. That's simply not true.

Losing isn't fun, blowing leads isn't fun, watching tourney hopes disappear isn't fun.

All I know is tomorrow night there will be another official game thread with UT South Carolina and this is the MUST WIN of the season. I have hope too, and I'll be there, still on board, until proven otherwise. All the talking heads can say what they will, but until then, I'm of the crowd that UT is getting in
