You claimed that if he was ready to go and Tennessee withheld him from playing that it could become an issue...we all tried telling you it would not, if he doesn't play another game this year then he will get the medical redshirt, its that simple.
He had a broken wrist. That's an entirely different scenario.
So previously if Tennessee withheld him from playing but he was practicing it was an issue, now if Tennessee keeps him from playing but he's practicing it's acceptable. Gotcha.
As everyone was saying, people heal differently and there's no way to say someone's ready as a fact, if he didn't play another game he was good to go whether he had a broken wrist or just a dislocated elbow.
OkIMO if he had a dislocation without ligament damage in the middle of December, he wasn't going to win an appeal for a medical hardship waiver.
The fact that he's practicing isn't relevant. Players don't have to go 100% in practice. If he's diving for loose balls, not wearing a wrist brace, and slam dunking with his right arm then proving that he had a season ending injury would be hard to do.
This is a thread about the relevance of the bubble as it relates to UT. That has been popped, so "games to watch" aren't relevant, neither is this thread, as it pertains to UT.
Some people are still interested in how all of this turns out. If you don't care, don't open the thread. I don't understand why so many of you complain about it.
