Overreaction?

I think not.

If what LaMonte says is true and Dave Hart only reached out to him for the first time this morning as a courtesy.... His ass should be on the next bus back to Tuscaloosa.

What a clown.

The fact that he couldn't get Gruden is one thing. The fan base can get over that.

But letting this volcano erupt for the last two weeks while he apparently sat on his thumb in his office doing nothing?!?!

This is the most botched coaching search one could ever imagine...... And apparently its not even close to being over.

Put me in the group that thinks we might as well search for a new AD as well.

Hart put the full court press on Gruden this whole time. Gruden pussed out when it got close.

Of course both sides are going to claim they never talked. That's the smart PR thing to do.

In a few weeks, you will see a "Official Dave Hart is a Genius" thread.

He's going to swoop in and save the day. It's just not time yet. They HAVE to cool the rumors. HAVE to.

They are trying to prime this to make the biggest splash in college football history.

At least, I truly believe they are.

Fire him and dont forget to Fire Cheeks Dumba$$ also. We have a bammer and Gator in charge of too many important decisions at UT. I dont like hart not bc of the Gruden thing, I didnt like him before and Ive never cared for cheek.

That's what I can't wrap my head around. He had to have at least heard/read/seen the growing hype about Gruden to Tennessee weeks ago! If he was really clueless as to the pulse of the VolNation until sometime this week I'm afraid to see who he parades across that stage when the hire goes down. We shall see....

Where is Dave Hart??? He is allowing an Agent to come out with the first actual word on the rumors... and that word is that Tennessee just reached out to him this morning and that Tennessee having a chance with Gruden was a "fantasy".

What is embarrassing is the PR nightmare that Dave Hart has allowed to happen over the last month, and especially today.

He is lost.

Hart needs to be fired immediately if true....his EGO is gonna cost us big time....here comes Kirby Smart or Al Golden and the new Kentucky/Vanderbilt of the SEC....we will never compete for championships for a long long time if ever due to this....


Now if he pulls out Stoops or Gundy.....I will deny I ever said anything bad about Hart :)

"If what LaMonte says is true..." The guy is paid big bucks to represent Gruden - not to make Hart and the University of Tennessee look good in the process. He will say anything to make his client look good (JG was never interested, JG was never contacted, etc...) So, I don't put a lot of stock in what LaMonte states in the press about Hart or UT.

Well I officially believe Hart coming here was to exact revenge for what Fulmer did to Bama. His actions, or lack of, pretty much says his intention is to go out and get another Mike Hammy level hire to make sure that the ship that was UT football stays sunk and has little to no chance of returning to its once proud glory.

Its not about making the decision the fanbase wants... Its about COMMUNICATING with the fanbase so that PR nightmares like what has taken place over the last month and today don't occur.

Hart has handled this the way he should. We don't need every coach we are interested in publicly turning us down like when Hammy was here. It's not Hart's fault we have a bunch of retards who claim to be insiders stirring the masses.
