There is no way Carolina is making the NCAA tournament this year. Their most impressive win of the entire season was a win over #18 UCLA (Carolia’s only win against a ranked team all year), and UCLA isn’t even ranked anymore. The only ranked team on their remaining schedule is Duke. They aren’t even playing teams worth a damn, and they’re still piling up losses.

Heels are out. Flawed roster. One scorer. Hubie has not figured out half-court offense that doesn’t rely on individual “moves” with the ball when clock is under 5 secs. They are very easy to defend.
These are bad teams in the ACC as well. Simply not their year. NIL can flip the script quickly and they’ll always spend money on hoops.

Question tho, is Davis the guy? Take away Brady Manek and his brief career looks very different. I like Hubert a lot but I don’t think he’s a very good coach. He’ll get some grace for making the championship game and embarrassing K at his retirement parties. That honestly should count for a lot TBH. But not bullish on the program under his leadership. It’s a matter of time.

IMO Heels have to win at least 2 of the next 3 to put themselves in position to make a run. This a steep mountain to climb.

They’re not making it regardless and don’t deserve to. It’s time to move on from Davis and hope like hell they have a plan for the future.

They’re not going into CIS and winning. They (Duke) will put in a clinic and win by 14+.

Maybe, maybe Clemson.

Losing to Pitt at home is the final nail for Davis.

Duke likes to spend lots of time playing at the level of their opponents and having a 5-8 minute burst of elite level basketball. I definitely don’t expect Saturday to be a beat down

I don’t know that it will be the final nail if they lose. I’m sure Roy will have some sort of say in how long this goes on if it continues in this direction. I’ve been to and seen a lot of Duke Carolina games where the lesser team has upset the higher ranked squad. Duke should win if they play defense at a high level, but they’ve struggling offensively the last 2 games. Flagg has had to be the one to bail them out of tough situations. That’s a recipe for disaster moving forward.

We’re bad. We got at least four guys on the court at any one time that want to go one on one, but they all mostly suck at that particular skill. Cadeau can get to the rim, but can’t finish and can’t shoot well enough from the outside to get them to play him close. RJ tries to do too much and turns it over. Seth and Ian can both finish at the rim, they just can’t get there while also still in possession of the ball.
