Official Global Warming thread (merged)

You literally have no idea what you are talking about.
Literally or figuratively? If I "literally" had no idea what I was talking about (global warming), but was still talking about that thing (global warming), wouldn't I, of necessity, have an idea in my mind of that thing (global warming)? Eo ipso, it is not true that I literally have no idea what I'm talking about.

You, on the other hand, literally do not know how to use the word "literally."

I think you're proving he's correct

That's the best you've got? "Come on man!"

You see, that's the thing, my flippant, snarky retorts are all I need to dispatch with you. Baa-bye.

Lol, wrong. I have studied atmospheric science for over 20 years. Have you? On top of that I have a friend that is an actual climate scientist and laughs at people like you, but carry on. The climate models are total garbage, they can be easily manipulated, and no one at the CPC will call it our because of the potential loss of funding. Amazing how that works. Once again, you have no clue what you are talking about.

Nice! I love appeals to authority. So, by the same token, I can appeal to the overwhelming consensus of scientists with much greater bona fides than you who say otherwise.

I am sorry, but the climate models are total garbage. They don't even take oscillations into account, do a piss poor job of trying to analyse ocean currents, and use temp data from too many biased sources. They try to predict weather YEARS in advance, when the normal weather models we have used for years that have been greatly improved are sketchy at best more than 4 days out. The climate models have about a 1 in 10,000 chance of being correct....if that. But let's inconvenience our lives there in the U.S., and spend money to combat a phantom while China puts a new coal fired power plant on line every month, and India plans to double its coal consumption over the next 20 years.

They know. We all supposed to have died from acid rain in the 80's, ozone layer in the 90's, and most of the world was gonna be under water by now. Heck, they had to switch from global warming to climate change because everything they claimed was wrong.

Yes but, thinking you know what you’re talking about and actually knowing what you’re talking about is two different things. So you could literally not know what you’re talking about.

Cool story, bro.

Haha! That's funny. I believe that I said in an earlier post that those models can easily be manipulated to say anything someone wants them to say.
Ah, so your proof is that you SAID something COULD be manipulated. Therefore, I'm to believe that something HAS BEEN manipulated. That's soom airtight argumentation there.

The colder winters britain has been experiencing are due to global warming according to these scientists
Global warming 'will give Britain longer, colder winters' as melting sea ice plays havoc with weather patterns | Mail Online

A few years ago Global Warming scientists were saying the oposite:
Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past - Environment - The Independent

does anybody actually believe the global warming garbage, except the people that are making billions from this myth? LOL
It’s just a big money grab. Fear sells.
OH NO! It’s 100 degrees outside today! We’re all going to die. Well, it’s called summer doofus.

What I said was firsthand information that I received from a climate scientist at the CPC, a friend of mine. They gotta keep that funding, right?

Lets have some nationally televised hearings on this..Not like this is not the most fundamental transformational and economic event in our nations history..Are we a democracy or not you sheep.
This self perpetuating media driven and government collusion needs transparency.

It's absolutely transparent. 97% of scientists will conclude whatever you tell them to conclude as long as you keep millions of dollars per year in federal funding flowing into their pockets. They're much like the golfers joining the LIV tour.

I hope this question creates a civil discussion because I am genuinely curious:

What is the fundamental difference in spending billions on NASA and spending billions on climate change?

Our climate will change regardless of what we do. It’s done it many times over the millennia. Investment in space exploration may lead to an alternative to this rock for humanity.
