I saw them about 8 or 10 times starting in 2000 when they toured again. Last was in October. Went up to NYC and caught one of their album shows.
I'm not sure folks realize how influential they were on other musicians. Kanye West sampled them recently. Jimmy Page has lauded them and some of the guitar solos in their contemporaneous music, though they had such different styles.
Fagen says he will continue with the modern version of the band. And I did see him just a few weeks ago here in Orlando, with a new band he's doing a few shows with and they played a lot of their stuff.
