You could probably do a free trial of Sling, add the sports package for $5 and watch it that way. Then cancel it after the game.

I just checked since I'll be at the other house this weekend. YouTube TV has the game listed at 7PM (fast time - I assume 6PM for lucky people). As far as I can tell, YouTube TV has all the ESPNs and SECs. YouTube TV is a little less than Sling and most others. So far, I've been able to watch every game since dumping cable a couple of years ago; and you can watch stuff if you are on the road. You can start the game late and use the option to start from the beginning, and if you get behind you can FF through commercials. The quality has always been good - as I recall you can also record and watch the game later. The only thing I've ever noticed is that if the game goes past the scheduled end, the FF and Rew may get a little squirrely near the end of the scheduled program time.

They are advertising $55 for three months now vs the normal $65/mo. Somewhere on the site there's a free trial offer - 3 days or something like that. Supposedly you can cancel at any time. Put in your zip code and it will tell you what channels (including local broadcast channels) are available.

The bad part is the rest of the programming. We binge watch series and movies on stuff like Netflix, Disney, and Prime. So even when we had cable we rarely watched most channels, and the YouTube TV lineup is a lot like a cable TV lineup. I watch games here with a Fire stick and with a Roku at the other house ... I prefer my Roku, and my wife likes her Fire stick ... what else is new. You should have been here for the furniture moving match this week. Are all wives spatially challenged? Oh, and the concept that if you have to move stuff out, to move stuff - put the first stuff in other rooms - not the damn hallway.

So I’m getting some info passed back to me about my idiot former group floundering on a tasker just like several of us told them they would. I am apparently a moron and didn’t have any idea what they were doing and they have to throw all my stuff out and fall back.

They pulled in one of my protégés to try and get it working. As I was leaving I reminded them that the loop gains I used assumed latencies were comparable and those latencies needed to be validated first thing and the loop gains lowered accordingly.

What did my protege do? He heard the latencies had gotten significantly worse so he mostly just lowered the loop gains and apparently it works as my model predicted. Oh BTW they couldn’t get my model to work. He told them “why? He gave me the same model. You just hit GO”

I’m trying to not take satisfaction out of their misery but…
