Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

A week off. Then Kentucky and Mississippi St at home sets up well if they can take advantage. That defense is something else.

I'm a firm believer that it's the defense that wins football games. Always hoping to outscore the opponent and skipping on the defense is a fool's game.

The bama win in 22 landed us a handful of the best players on our team. They were present for the magic and it blew their minds how incredible Neyland can be these days.

I just saw a post on X that showed that " The best thing about Tenn fans storming the field after the win was that the recruits here visiting for the game were the 1st people down on the field." We have an amazing group visiting this weekend, with top bluechips from the 26 and 27 classes. Also 2 flip candidates for 25 if everyone made it in like they were supposed to. This win should be huge for recruiting.

it is probably the best visit list EVER.

That facemask call was BS should have been offsetting penalties

If grabbing a facemask is dangerous, then it's dangerous both ways and should either be a penalty both ways or allowed both ways - common sense says penalty both ways. There's no excuse for allowing a facemask because the offender just happens to be holding the football. Same with hands to the face. It's either dangerous and not allowed, or it's OK and not a penalty - goes for offense and defense. There's no evidence that defensive players are less human or susceptible to harm than an offensive player.

Its crazy that the pups have thrown 2 picks and they are STILL up 17-0 and have the ball at midfield in the 2nd quarter. If Beck didnt throw those picks...especially the pick at ~5yd line...this game could easily be 28-0 or even 35-0 at halftime. Pups defense is absolutely dominating texas. Looks almost as good as our defense. Almost.

Beck is a shell of his former self. I saw a breakdown of him last year....it was insane. Off the charts in every stat. He is still a good +QB but nothing like lasy season. Especially with the picks
