Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

They continue to find more and more side effects of weed/THC. Especially in teens/early 20s...which is when the majority of people use unfortunately. This is just 1 of many similar problems in neurology and development. No bueno. I agree that weed should be legal...but there should be much more effort to keep anyone not 21yo from getting it. Growing up, weed was always much, much easier to obtain than alcohol. That was before it was legalized and analogs were sold legally everywhere that do the exact same thing.

We have previously discussed microplastics and related particles. These chemicals are destroying humanity from the inside out. Messing up our DNA, sex cells and reproduction, brain tissues etc. Meanwhile autism has increased 1000 fold in the last few decades, life expectancies continue to drop etc. No bueno.

It's always easier to have (or create as necessary) problems to deal with and divert attention than to deal with many real issues - especially for politicians and the ones funding them (the under the table funding). More persuasive to state that a couple of back to back hurricanes comes from climate change driving new industries than to admit to past errors. Climate change means there's new stuff to be sold with little thought to long term consequences. Cleaning up past unforced errors doesn't generate sales; it just demonstrates past inattention to detail and that nobody wants to fund overhead costs neglected when it was more convenient not to know of a problem. For some evidence of health issues, look at pictures of a much thinner population (like the 60s and earlier) before sugar was dethroned and replaced with corn - Earl Butz the Ag Sec who championed it had an appropriate name BTW.

Oddly enough I understood this reference. What kind of bridge do you have on it? Floating/Floyd Rose or just the whammy bar on a fixed bridge?

fixed..No floater or whammy on LP..Tune-a-matic is the standard Les Paul bridge. Bought some tools and a kit to do a set up and all showed up today..set action, adjust truss rod, intonation…just decided to do it myself after taking it to shop last 40 years..

Personally, I prefer the Bass-O-Matic.

Ah I thought wiggle stick was a whammy bar. Not the truss rod.
