Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

From my seat, this is what I am watching. A young offense with recent additions with a RS freshman QB and an OL with isn't what we hoped. Each week, we look great on drive 1for 50- 60 yards and the wheels come off. We are learning how to compete at this level AND winning games because of our elite defense. That is very very special. Most teams take Ls while they learn to compete as a full team for 4 Qs. We are winning. We are literally inches away from several big plays. We're close. And once (if) it all gels, whoa Nelly, we are going to be a tough out.

Not speaking for anyone else who posts or telling them how to fan. Just wanted to share.
these are the facts, ma'am
well did

Lest we forget. That was the same game vs BYU that we were up by a TD, kicked the ball to them at their 20...prevent defense with 6 DBs where you are coached since peewee league that the #1 rule is : NOBODY GETS BEHIND YOU....and yet either Alontae or somebody let a BYU WR run right past them down the sideline WIDE OPEN for a 75 or 80 yard TD to send the game to overtime where we lost in the video above.

Good times. I broke the remote for my TV throwing it across the room when we blew that prevent coverage. That sucked.

it runs the spectrum. I'm the most reasonable. Marcus is the most bitchy.

Troof.

I actually played ball up thru HS though, and watch the film breakdowns etc after games . So in fairness (to me) I am more aware of how much our players actually screw up, and how maddeningly close we are to clicking on offense and actually hanging 40+ points on people again.

Nico played great last night. Had 1 bad throw that could have been picked. He had 3TDs dropped thought...Brazzell, then Kitzelman(who got popped)...then Nimrod with his usual 1 terrible drop per game. If only 2/3 of those guys catch those TD passes that hit them in the hands, Nico would have had ~400yds and 3TDs passing. Definitely the most encouraging part of the game IMO.

No worries. I used to get frustrated, too. Certain things mellow with age...or did for me.
