Inexperienced/untrained salesmen are a PITA.

Buying a piece of equipment, deal is done and it should be delivered next Wednesday. Kid calls me and says he needs my SSN, address and copy of my DL to do the paperwork. I tell him no you don't we're writing you a check and if you really do because of some stupid JD policy just forget it. He asks so you won't buy the machine, I said correct, you need to figure it out by Monday or I'm going to Caterpillar.

I bet I get a call Monday morning telling me he doesn't need any of that.

You mess with the hog, you get the tusk???

Nice! Same for me after one each of last 2 years.

How old are you guys,? Ive been declining the prostate exams since 40, and a scope or 2 along the way as well...if these bastards are gonna violate me like that maybe I can get both done at the same time while I am knocked out on propofol or something?

dont even know its happening and wake up thinking you just had best sleep EVER. Prep is the bad part..used to drink like a gallon over several hours but now not nearly as much..just on the can all night.

I just turned 53. Had first one at the age of 50, which used to be the old rule. They changed that recommendation to start them at 45 right around the time I had passed 45. I had so many polyps on the first colonoscopy that my gastroenterologist had to prioritize to remove the largest ones and then come back a year later for the rest. Total polyp count between those 2 procedures was upper 20’s. Some of them were pretty good size, but no cancer. This was my first real follow-up, and I was down to 4 small polyps.

While I waited until 50, I wouldn’t recommend that. I lost a high school friend to colon cancer two years ago. He had some stomach pain, went to see the doctor, and he had stage 4 colon cancer. He passed away about 3 months later.

The colonoscopy itself is nothing. It’s the prep (cleanout) that sucks.

62 here - first colonoscopy at 50ish. had polyps so on the 5 year plan. no cancer.

on the prostate exam all I can say is I had a mildly high PSA test and doc recommended biopsy since my dad had prostate cancer - it was a horrible experience but how I learned I have prostate cancer. fortunately it's low grade so I'm just on active surveillance.

my point? stop worrying about violation and keep an eye on your health. you've been through worse than these procedures. suck it up

54. They found an abnormal polyp a couple years ago.

Always go Suprep or generic version. It's much less drinking. Even if insurance doesn't cover, its worth out of pocket.

Man, it's the best rest you can get. The procedure itself is awesome. Don't feel a thing and wake up feeling so, so gooooooooood.
