I was digging through an old crate, and I found a few full newspapers I have from the Tennessean. One is the day after the 1998 football National Championship. The other one is the full Y2K newspapers from December 31, January 1 and January 2.

Nice. I have the Sentinel 98 front page and both editions.of Sports Illustrated from that Chip...the national version and the Tennessee residents only with the special cover pages front and back. Have the SI from when we beat Bo Jackson and Barn to take over no1 also....somewhere lol

Some of these may have tremendous value some day especially if kept in good condition sadly long after we are gone. The Y2K newspaper should have broader appeal as a full newspaper.

This forum is at it's best when everyone is acting like brothers who just got together for Thanksgiving.

We have the hardest path pf anyone thru these playoffs. Objectively. I understand that our offense will have to put together our 4 best games of the season vs top 20 teams in order to win it all. While I do feel like we have steadily improved since the Bama game, i am also not an idiot and understand why our vegas odds are long, and why we are likely an underdog in all 4 games which would have to be upsets. I get that, and its totally unreasonable to expect UT to win it all. I do have hope though. We have a championship defense thats as good as any in the nation. Just need the offense to score probably 30 points per game and we have only averaged 26 vs SEC opponents this year IIRC.

That said...I REALLY REALLY want to beat these bastards from Ohio state. Even if we lose the very next game to Oregon, which is also likely. I badly want to shut these clowns up, as well as the national media guys which have picked us to lose at an 80% rate minimum. It might be 90% honestly. I know that Chris Doering and Cole Cubelik have both picked us to win on their broadcasts. They both played in the SEC and have watched us all year, so they actually know our team and defense. These OSU fans and media are SO ARROGANT though. I thought michigan fans were bad. Good grief man. Coming off an upset loss to a 21 point underdog AT HOME, they act like this game is a foregone conclusion. Why even bother to play it?? It makes me sick. I loathe their team and their fanbase. If we can keep this game played inside, smashmouth ball like the michigan game then i think we win. If their QB has time and is able to throw at will...we are in trouble. They have by FAR the best WRs we will have faced this season. Much better than UGA or Bama and their 17yo. They have 4 WRs thst will all be 1st or 2nd round draft picks in the next couple years. Their QBs pass rating goes up dramatically when he is blitzed as well...so we need to be able to get home with 4 or 5 guys regularly or he will throw the ball to where we are not due to the blitz. I really want this first win badly though. This next week is gonna be SO long waiting for Saturday. Lets go punch these fools in the mouth though and take this win. Azzwhipping from the first whistle until the fat lady sings.

I'll be elated if we beat tOSU. I won't be sad if we lose.
