Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

We made the decision to send Tara, my GSD, over the rainbow bridge tomorrow. She had another vestibular incident yesterday and isn't improving much today. At her age, coming back a second time will be even harder.

She's been my loyal companion for twelve and a half years and I feel is best for her to not have to undergo the stress and mental anguish of having to relearn to walk and take care of herself. She'll find peace in a life started with turmoil. She's beaten the odds of the pound wanting to put her down and my vet only giving her a week when I rescued her. She's had a good doggy life surrounded by those she loves especially in this last year.

Hardest decision I've ever made.

Sorry for your loss

So sorry. My family got me my pup 2 Father’s Days ago, right after I finished radiation treatments.

I dread the day I have to make a decision like this for that magnificent 45 pounds of love and adoration. Stinks.

Lol. SMU let Clemson return the kickoff to midfield with 10secs on the clock....Clemson threw an easy 15yd completion and kicked a 56 yard FG to win it. Lol.

Sorry bout your luck Bama

It entirely depends how much you intend to use it and what you plan to use it on.

I have an Amex Plat and Gold.

Pros:

Limit adjusts to your use.
Good rewards program with lots of different companies participating
Hands down, the best customer service of all card companies. No holds. 24/7 availability.
Excellent theft/fraud protection in an age where it's too easy to be compromised via the internet.

Cons:

Membership fees of 500 and 250 respectively. Really pushes you to make it your primary card.
Amex isn't always accepted for common use (parking garages, small businesses, utility companies etc)
Fluctuating credit limit may lead to some issues when making larger purchases, even if your balance is zero.
Rewards program requires more spending than other cards to utilize

I also have a Capital One. Their Venture is the flagship travel card due to 0% fees abroad, but get this... their Savor One does the same thing.

Tl;dr

Amex is good, but do yourself a favor and get the Savor One. I collected $700 in cash back this year and it was my second most used card. If nothing else, get it if you eat out more than twice a week.

Very detailed. Thanks.

Another note about Amex Gold/Plat...

They may seem like good cards for cutting up lines, but they fan out after a few eight balls to the point where they no longer fit in chip readers (it leads to some very embarrassing reactions at Barnes and Noble) I know that's super relevant to you @BreatheUT so I figured you should know.

I admit it took me a minute to figure out where you were going with this. I haven't had a chance to read the board to see if there was discussion leading up to this joke.

You know all of the “but ‘Bama” crying is just falling on deaf ears to me. If you want a chance to be in the CFP then don’t lose 3 games. It’s that simple. Yes Clemson has 3 loses but had they lost their champ game then they wouldn’t be in. Clemson actually earned the right to be there on the field and winning their conference. Bama did not. F$&@ them. Enjoy the Citrus Bowl or whatever they get.

Had SMU won then Bama would be in with a 3 loss record without winning their berth on the field. Frankly I think Miami makes a better case at 2 loses.IMG_3934.jpeg

She's gone. In her final hour, she put her paw on me as if to say everything was going to be okay and she was going to a wonderful place.
Very sorry to read this. She knows you gave her a wonderful life and she’ll be waiting on you. I’ve got a double digit count of four legged family waiting on me and the wife already. And being there in their final moments is the most honor and love you can give them. I will see info come across social media feed from time to time on owners that just pass their pets off to the vet because it’s “too painful” for them. Hey ******* it’s pretty miserable for the pet that’s about to die too! Nut up and do your duty!

It looks to me we’ve got the toughest path to the finals. We have tOSU and Oregon. Toughest two game pairing in the CFP.

We do have the hardest path. UGA has a cakewalk to the last game.

Time to go get Coach Day fired.

Ryan Day is the "Michael Jordan" of James Franklins.
