Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Making fun of a dementia patient is not cool, Grand.

It would help even more if we even used the Okie State softball team.

The big dogs out here (OU, OSU, Tulsa and Oral Roberts) generally self fund or do it through boosters. So, while 72 was trying to make a funny, not that funny when taking into account how it actually works.

My high school team has been really good for a while and is not awful so maybe just maybe my Vols will pick up the slack.

Have you ever ran a TV ad that promised to turn "your wreck into a check"?

No. I hate that the Bar allows some of the advertising it does. I've not seen anything that bad in Florida. But sadly it is a matter of time.

The worst here are people who go on tv that say "I was rear ended and Dan got me one million dollard for my injuries. Thanks Dan!" And they look perfectly fine. Unharmed. And thats the point. It sends the message that you don't have to be hurt to get money. Might as well take a shot.

My favorite is the "we don't get paid unless you do" commercials.
We also have a guy in Chattanooga that has cartoon commercials of himself as a superhero.

Got a friend who had a huge therapy clinic in Nebraska. He was rear ended and it jacked both his shoulders. 3 surgeries so far, pain meds plus therapy. His claim was substantial due to his disability rating combined with his business volume and number of years remaining before retirement. He looks 100% uninjured but will never raise his elbows above his head and cannot treat pts.

Not one of the charlatans you're lampooning but be careful judging injury by how a person looks.

Fingers crossed. My old high school usually has a pretty good team. Our local school down here stinks. They got a new coach, and they say he's good. I may go watch a game this year.

There used to be one in my city that said, "You might be injured and not even know it yet. Give us a call."

This is my favorite lawyer advertisement. If I ever get in trouble, I'm calling him.

In an update to an earlier story, I'm happy to report that all the princesses have been found and the the kid is currently assigning them animal sidekicks.

Bless Oklahoma. More toll roads than you can shake a stick at. Still the crappiest roads in the country.
