One thing is for certain: whichever way this goes, a bunch of people are going to have their "e-cred" shattered in the next 2 weeks.

If it is done, delay in announcing serves no purpose. Announcement would reinvigorate both players and fan base to finish out what has been a nightmare. It would enable all to know that there actually is light at the end of the tunnel and that we are not going to have to go through the same thing we have previously experienced. Delay only tells me it has not been done.

Serves no purpose to you. Serves a lot of purpose to those who are still working their butts off for some recognition on their own. Trotting JG out now sucks all the air out of Neyland stadium for the current coaches and seniors trying to finish their careers.

You may not like the product produced, but doesn't mean these guys haven't been humping it for Tennessee. They all have families and they deserve to not be tossed aside while the season is still going on.

I am not trolling. I had reason to believe that he was there last night for an event, before Hubbs confirmed it earlier this morning.

I will not troll. This time my practice has been to remain silent, and confirm good info when I see it. Otherwise I'm just enjoying the ride.

Hubbs confirmed he was here last night?!

5 days. That's all it's been. Nobody is being strung along, despite the fact we've been at this for 6 weeks.

Agreed. But the narrative is... They are keeping a done deal under wraps for a reason.

The reason doesn't make any sense to me.

How did I miss that hubbs confirmed that this morning?

My brain is fried.

It was in the last thread. Somebody posted a screen shot of him saying he's in town today, was at Cherokee, had breakfast in Rocky Hill, and would be having dinner with his son and the frat tonight....but it was a previously planned trip.

I got a text last night saying he snuck in and was at Cherokee for some sort of event.

Go golf‏ @VolsScotchGolf

Bond movies are great! How 007 is able to create diversions and misdirections to avoid compromising his objective is so entertaining. I wonder if real world agents have to do that as well!

I especially love the Bond movies where 007 doesn’t know whether the Villians are internal or external to his organization. Makes for a great fight to those who possess formidable skills.

A lot of the cryptic nature of the posts in this thread fuels the craziness. Yet those saying to relax are creating the discomfort. Why the need to speak in code? Twitter sphere conjecture, piece the puzzle together? Ok then, but it’s a message board not game of thrones.

I get it (I think) and I'll "patiently" wait (like I have another choice), but I think Currie miscalculated when he concluded the shadow cast by an announcement would be larger than the shadow cast by the lack of an announcement. When his timeline for firing Butch was ruined, he should have changed the timeline for making the announcement. (Maybe he has) I see no way he can wait until after the Vandy game without suffering some severe unintended consequences.

Must’ve been some event if he would actually come into Knoxville during all this madness

I have a splitting migraine right now.. I text my wife asking her if she could bring me some medicine..her response "yea, soon" my reply back "tell beaver i said hi..Dilly Dilly"

Yeah I’m going to need a screenshot of the this Hubbs confirmation... 👀

I saw it in the previous thread. I don't go to TOS.

I was surprised when I saw it because it verified what I was sent last night...I was doubly surprised when it didn't blow up here.

Respect. And that's what I thought what your approach was. I just had yet to see you confirm something like that so I was unsure. If he truly was at Cherokee last night then I think my Grudometer has resurged from 25% back to about 60%. He wouldn't be in Knoxville if he had just turned down a multi-million offer to coach here.

Of all the times to have a previously planned trip.
