I love seeing these articles and tweets from national writers saying “why would Tennessee want gruden” and “Tennessee has concerns about gruden.”

The beav said it woulld be like this.

Tuberville was on Finebaum yesterday. Gruden came up, and the hype and whether or not he could make it in the SEC. Tubs was all over it, saying that you ain't coached in 10 years and you can't out Xs and Os in SEC. Maybe you could get by with that in the NFL, but you won't out coach the SEC. Went on a rant about recruiting, yada yada.

I just rolled my eyes. Tubs talking like Gruden might out coach NFL coaches, but not the coaches in the SEC.

Right, no new coach had ever had his first game there being a bowl game.

That raised a red flag for me also. Would never happen under any circumstances. I wasn’t going to bring it up.

I do remember him mentioning him as head coach in waiting and a lot of us laughed at the time, but there have been other tidbits saying the same. Maybe it was to appease him in a high profile position here with Gruden and appealing to his head coaching aspiration too.

I'm very familiar with Georgia southern..I live an hr away and my son went there a semester before UT. I don't think Tee takes or would want that job.

There’s a reason he’s still without a job. Unless I missed something. If I did it won’t be long before he’s without a job again.

Yeah. What we've been doing has worked so well there's no reason to try something drastic. Most fans will give Gruden time to get his players and system in place, although I'm sure you'd be around at every stumble to ***** and moan. GTFO.

I would say Gruden will take some lumps in the first year or so, but will be a huge,YUUUGE, improvement immediately over what we've had for 10 years.

Then, by the end of the second year, rolling into year three, UT will be a juggernaut. JMO.

Good morning all. Just about to go tackle some leaves. Thought I would let you all know that I spent some face to face time with some VFL's last night, and some others who will not be mentioned.

My Grudometer is at 50/50.

We will know who the new coach is next Saturday (25th).

That is all I feel comfortable to share.

I heard those exact things from a GSU booster last night. He wasn't against Tee Martin, he just couldn't figure out why GSU would go that route or why Tee would want to go there.

I think we're on the same page on how that place is..in general terms

If gruden is gonna be our coach, then they need to announce it next week. College game day would be all about gruden and tennesse. It would get so much air play, and what a way to dominate the last week of regular season college football.I'd have to dvd college game day, so I could watch forever..

the very notion that JG would coach a bowl game is proposterious in every sense lol the notion of it rids him of any & all credibility. Pains me to say, I want to believe urgh..

Do you realize Belicheck makes 7.5 million a year? You wanna pay Gruden 10? And no, I wouldn’t be happy with Bobo or Novell. Currie isn’t as dumb as you are.

There is a significant difference between coaching in the NFL vs college football. When was the last time Belicheck was on a recruiting trip?
Do you realize how much Saban has brought in to the state of AL? He’s a bargain for what he’s producing. So, $10 million/yr for a national championship product isn’t a stretch. You get what you pay for in shoes, cars, and coaches.
